WORK EXPERIENCE

Solderer

Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of work pieces to solder

joints. Heat soldering irons or work pieces to specified temperatures for

soldering. Examine seams for defects, and rework defective joints or broken

parts. Melt and separate brazed or soldered joints to remove and straighten

damaged or misaligned components. Melt and apply solder to fill holes,

indentations, and seams of fabricated metal products. Clean work pieces to

remove dirt and excess acid. Guide torches and rods along joints of work

pieces to heat them to brazing temperature, melt braze alloys, and bond

work pieces together. Adjust electric current and timing cycles of

resistance welding machines to heat metals to bonding temperature. Clean

equipment parts, such as tips of soldering irons. Turn valves to start flow

of gases, and light flames and adjust valves to obtain desired colors and

sizes of flames.

Machine Operator

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to

specifications. Remove and replace dull cutting tools. Mount, install,

align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on

machines. Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds

such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust

machines to compensate for problems. Adjust machine feed and speed, change

cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is

faulty or if machines malfunction. Stop machines to remove finished work

pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to

required machining sequences. Lift work pieces to machines manually, or

with hoists or cranes. Modify cutting programs to account for problems

encountered during operation and save modified programs. Calculate machine

speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts. Insert control

instructions into machine control units to start operation.

Assembler

Electrical assembly workers put together electrical components with the use

of blueprints, schematics or written work instructions. Work may include

fitting or soldering parts together. Some assemblies require the use

adhesives and epoxies. Assemblers may work subassemblies of finished

products. Work perform test on electrical assembly work is sometimes

performed under a magnifying light or microscope

Wiring harness.

Receptionist

Operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, providing

information, taking messages and scheduling appointments. Greet persons

entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit. Transmit

information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile

machine. Hear and resolve complaints from customers and public. Perform

administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten

information, and operating calculators or computers to work with pay

records, invoices, balance sheets and other documents. File and maintain

records. Provide information about establishment such as location of

departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services

provided. Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier

deliveries. Process and prepare memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or

other documents. Receive payment and record receipts for services.
