Engineering Project:
Senior Design: Sept 2012 – Apr 2013
• Designed a Frequency Dependent Audio Visualizer. A Frequency Dependent Audio Visualizer
receives an input audio signal, filters the frequency information of the signal into a set number of
bands. The frequency information is separated into these bands, by analog filters. These bands
were associated with octave frequencies to easily separate the audio signal between low and high
frequencies. The filtered frequency information is then output to LED arrays for each band. The
LEDs in each array will then light up whenever the input signal contains frequency information
that falls within the bandwidth of the filter that the array is attached to.
Engineering Shadowing Experience:
FMC Project and Maintenance Engineers, FMC Corporation, Green River, WY: June 2013
• Shadowed the Project Engineers to establish how they developed new projects and how they
managed dealings with the workers that would be using their projects
• Shadowed the Maintenance Engineers observing locations relevant to my technical background.
During this time I observed techniques for managing repairs/replacement of broken equipment, the
steps to follow when replacing equipment and general interaction with workers in the field.
OCI Engineers, OCI Wyoming, Green River, WY: August 2010
• Followed Engineers through general areas of the surface mining area to view how they
conducted their daily work
Previous Employment:
OCI Surface Summer Hire, OCI Wyoming, Green River, WY: Summer 2010
