JOB DESCRIPTION:

Study final layout and detail drawings, allocate storage space-unload and store material, field check the hoist way drop-lines(check location of lines with building construction superintendent),install brackets and rails-align guides, hoist machine room equipment, install machine beams and machine room equipment; pipe the machine room, set door sills(verify exact location of height of sills with building construction superintendent, set door entrances, set headers, install counterweight, car frame and platform, pipe the hoist way and hall appliances and hang the travelling cable align the machine controller and other machine room parts, pull machine room wires and ring out, rope the car and governor, connect machine room wiring file and align guide-rails joint install door hangers and panels(by this time the car can usually be operated from the controller manually)install door lock complete the hoist way work(limit, cams, etc.) clean the hoist way pipe and wire the car and connect traveling cables install car enclosure and appliances check car control operation and limits stopping switch, and floor switches. call for first inspection if company practice requires this clean up inspection and report work for the final inspection painting-hoist way and machine room, call for code authority inspection, if required obtain final acceptance, return unused material to shop End…
