Projects and professional experience

Title: Intern (November 2013-present) in Metavana, Inc.

Role: Java developer and data analyst

I analyze data over social media networks, propose and implement analytical

algorithms. I have worked in building the sentiment engine using Java and

Python. I am currently converting the java based sentiment engine into a

commercial product for a client (using Matlab and Python).

Android application developer: I developed an android application called

SafetyClick, now available on Google Play store. Features like GPS

Location, SMS service, and Touchscreen have been used. This user-friendly

application "SafetyClick" is an emergency app which ensures your safety. It

provides you a UI that helps you send an automated emergency message along

with your current location to a predefined set of recipient.

Title: Software Intern (From Jan 2013-May 2013) in Art Crime Archive

Collaborative Laboratory, SDSU's Institute of Public and Urban Affairs

Role: Python developer: Building an archival system using Python and GIT.

Using Python with Google Apps Engine to design and develop webpages. I

gained working knowledge of online repositories and branching concepts

using GIT.

Title: 2D game (Sapphire of peace) developer

Designed and developed a 2D game using Microsoft XNA 4.0 using audio and

visual effects like collision detection, speed, background shifting, and

scoring as part of an academic project.

Title: Intern (June-Aug 2011) in Maitri Constructions, Hyderabad

Role: Database development in Oracle 10g

The industrial training was focused on areas specific to Computer Science,

which involved working on the Maitri Constructions company website and

database development and modification. My role was to implement some

changes in the database design to meet some enhanced features and draw

reports. I worked with the DBA team in requirements gathering, creation,

modification, and deleting tables, used aggregate functions and JOINS for

drawing reports involving multiple tables, used XML and Spread sheet for

data loading, used transactional mode, auto commit, and ROLLBACK, wrote

triggers, procedures, and used packages, and completed a session on how to

use Oracle Application Express to build a web application
