Since 2001 I have been working in IT, and I have A+, Network+, and Server+

Certifications. My 12+ years of experience has provided me with a solid foundation for a

continuing career in the industry. I have always been fascinated with computer technologies,

and feel that working in IT is what I was meant to do with my life.

I have great experience working with a wide variety of hardware and software, and have

had a lot of exposure to all different types of systems, devices, and networks. I’ve implemented,

maintained, and managed countless computer networks for all different types of industries, e.g.

hospitals, dental offices, law firms, accounting offices, retail stores, logistics, etc. These

networks have ranged from just a few computers in a single location to hundreds of computers

in multiple locations. Furthermore, I have experience with installing and configuring multimedia

equipment from HD TVs and stereo systems to conference rooms and digital advertising.

My experience grew in leaps and bounds while working at North Texas Medical Center.

While there, I was involved in the large undertakings of achieving federal ‘Meaningful Use’ for

the hospital, overhauling/upgrading the infrastructure, and modernizing/replacing all

workstations and servers in the hospital network. I also had the responsibility of implementing

a ticketing (help desk) system, a computer inventory system, and a domain administration

system to improve the productivity and effectiveness of the IT personnel.

While working at Techserv Inc. we aimed to be a single point of support for the clients

which meant that we needed to be knowledgeable and proficient with every aspect of

computer networks including routers and cabling, servers and domains, computer hardware

and peripherals, and the multitude of software applications those clients would use for their

businesses. During my employment with Techserv Inc., we contracted to do work for Kodak

where I became a certified Kodak engineer for installing and maintaining digital imaging (X-

ray/CT) systems.

I have gained leadership experience as a system admin at NTMC and as a senior

technician at Techserv Inc. I’m comfortable working in a team environment and independently,

and have spent a lot of time training other techs. I pride myself on learning fast, working

efficiently and effectively, and not being easily overwhelmed in stressful situations. I would

greatly appreciate the chance to articulate on my experience in person as it is somewhat
