DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

LOADPORT

Shore Tank :

• Coordinate with terminal authority for inspection of tank, pipeline and valve to be used;

• Gauging, sampling and temperature reading;

• Witness sample at laboratory testing.

Vessel :

• Inspects vessel’s compartments prior to loading if fit to load for nominated products;

• Ask the chief officer anent last 3 cargoes, and tank cleaning method for compatibility of

cargo to be loaded;

• Re calculate vessel experience factor;

• If so required? do wall washing and bring samples to laboratory for analysis;

• Withdraws first foot and after loading samples and tests samples at laboratory for density

variance against refineries` certificate of test;

• Inspects cargo before and after transfer if it meets prescribed standards;

• Calculate cargo;

• Inspects non-cargo tanks including vessel’s fuel oil tanks for any trace of products;

• Monitor and supervise loading operation.

DISPORT

Shore Tank :

• Coordinate with terminal authority for inspection of tank, pipeline and valve to be used;

• Witness sample at laboratory testing.

Vessel :

• Inspects/calculate consignments, if it conforms to contract specification;

• Withdraws samples from tanks and routes to laboratory;

• Inspect vessel and terminal pipelines for leaks and seal valves to secure tank contents;

• Inspect non-cargo tanks, and if so required, including vessel’s fuel oil tanks;

• Prepares, verifies, and examines cargo ladings, oil transportation records, and Monitor

and supervise discharging operation.

OTHER DUTIES :

• Bunkering at power barge.

• Ship to ship transfer at outside break water.

• Off-hire and on-hire bunker in local and international vessel’s.

• Received LPG Gas Vessel and other Chemicals Tanker vessel.

• Conduct safety checklist/Importation outside break water.

• Conduct line displacement before loading and after discharging.

• Conduct initial and final draft survey in determining the quantity loaded and discharge.
