Through the utilization of P6, the manufacturing resource deployments were restructured to generate
improved resource leveling through this “fast track” environment. A “just in time” materials strategy was also
introduced in the scheduling to improve the deliverable dates and reduce material handling. Overall, this
strategy improved the $/lb. manufacturing cost by 20%.
