PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Adecco, Wilson, NC: Network Control Specialist for BB&T (07/2013 - present)
I am responsible for front line support for BB&T associates and all of
their subsidiaries when it comes to resolving all pc, network, printer and
application issues.
Sprint-Nextel, Wake Forest NC: Network Design Engineer (02/2000 - 03/2009)
Responsible for design, installation, and implementation of Cisco
Routers, Switches, and Wi-Fi Access Points for client access to Enterprise
Network. These responsibilities included ordering T1 Circuit, ordering
Cisco equipment, and physically installing Cisco equipment at the client
location.
Responsible for placing configuration in the Cisco routers, switches, and
Wi-Fi Access points to allow connectivity to the Enterprise network. Cisco
routers were configured using WAN protocols(DSL, HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay)
across T1 circuits. Cisco switches were configured using multiple VLANS to
separate client traffic, server traffic, and wireless traffic. Wi-Fi Access
Points were configured to receive authentication from Radius server to
authorize client laptop use on the Enterprise network.
Responsible for upgrade and replacement of Cisco devices once devices reach
End of Life status.
Responsible for weekly reporting to a project manager the current status of
network installation and any issues that might prevent project from being
completed as scheduled.
Sprint-Nextel, Wake Forest NC: Systems Integrator (10/1997 - 02/2000)
Monitor 200+ Cisco router network in NC, SC, TN, and VA for T1
circuit errors and router failures using NV6000 network monitoring
system. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of circuit problems
and replacement of failed routers.
Sprint-Nextel, Wake Forest NC: Computer Operator II (12/1995 - 10/1997)
Run and complete batch jobs as scheduled on IBM Mainframe system. Use
MVS/JCL to correct job errors. Mount tapes in IBM tape drives for job
completion, and print and distribute any associated reports created
from batch jobs. Sort, stamp, and package customer notices for delivery
to post office.
