Project: Habshan Flare Gas Recovery Project

Responsibilities Include:

• To carry out sizing and dynamic analysis of a compressor foundation using STAAD Pro software. Compressor

foundation contained huge rotating masses. The foundation-soil system was assumed to be the spring mass-dashpot-model.

The analysis was performed for different modes of frequencies and the foundation response was examined.

Client: Oil and Gas Development Corporation Pakistan (OGDC, PAKISTAN)

Project: UCH II Power Expansion Project

Responsibilities Include:

• To design a ring wall foundation of a 10m HSD storage tank. All the design including hoop stresses and circumferential

reinforcement was performed as per ACI standard. Followed API 615 code to prepare specifications regarding the compaction

of soil, details of poly locks and HDPE liner, asphalt layers, the perforated pipes etc. as well as for the sizing of dyke wall that

surrounded the tank area.

• To design the underground drainage network for the oily water and storm water of the plant. Network included the

manholes, catch basins, the open and closed drain channels, steel pipes, and septic tanks. Used manning formula for the

discharge calculations.

• To perform 3D review of underground facilities that included storm water and oily water network, foundations, pits,

trenches, pipes and others using SP3D PDS software. This job included coordination with piping & electrical department and to

present the whole 3D model to Client personnel.

Client: Fauji Energy Limited, Pakistan

Project: Foundation Wind Energy Pvt. Limited

Responsibilities Include:

• To perform the structural, architectural as well as the sewerage network design of dormitory, and workshop buildings

located on the site. For beams, column and the underground tank design used the STAAD Pro software. All the design was as

per AC1 318 code. Supervise designers to complete architectural drawings, detailed drawings (reinforcement, underground

facilities) in timely fashion.

• To design an evaporation pond for the waste from dormitory and the administration buildings. Collected different

meteorological data needed for the design. Provided the different details specification for the provision of HDPE linings and the

pipes installation as per recommended practice. Supervise the completion of structural drawings and layouts.

• To perform geometric and structural design of road network for the farm site. The design was performed as per AASHTO

code. Used Structural number method to calculate the layer thicknesses of base course and the sub-base course. Provided

specifications regarding compaction of soil, the boulder and the gravel sizes, and other construction specifications. Followed

AAHTO green book for the geometric design that included turning radius for different vehicles (including cars, cranes and

trucks) and slopes.

Pertrochem Engineering Services PES: Design Engineer (Dec 2009-Aug 2011)

Client: ENI Limited (The Italian multinational Oil & Gas Company)

Project: The installations of k-17, k-24, K-27 Gas wellheads at Kadanwari, Pakistan

Responsibilities Include:

• To study soil report to understand the soil condition and soil type and to suggest a suitable foundation type for the site.

• To design a pump shed for three high efficiency pumps. Steel structure was designed as per AISC code in STAAD pro

software whereas ACI 318 was followed for the shed foundation and the concrete floor design.

• To design an anchor block for an 8” pipe, to anchor the pipe in the soil against the stresses within the pipe.

Client: Shell International Hong Kong & Shell Pakistan

Project: GTL based oil-east hub at Tsing island (Hong Kong) installation.

Construction of jet-ki storage facilities at Keamari (Karachi Pakistan) installation.

Responsibilities Include:

• To design a steel structure and foundation of a steel tower, having a pressure vessel at its top. Carried out the design for

the governing load of wind as well as for the live loads of different mechanical equipment & instrumentations existing on the

tower.

• To design a saddle foundations for an 18m long and a 5m high LPG Bullet Vessel. In addition to a huge dead load and

test live load of water. Carried out the design for the lateral seismic loading

• To design a 10ft tall pipe rack for a 4”, 6” & 8” pipes to make them cross overhead through a heavy vehicle road.

Performed design for the gravity load of steel pipe filled with test load of water, friction stresses of pipe (assumed to be 40% of

gravity load) as well as applied wind load on the steel columns.
