Description: Hewitt Health Resource Performance Guarantee is a vendor

management tool that is added in to the HHR portal. It helps consultants to

collect and manage vendor information regarding the guarantees provided by

the vendor. Vendor performance is tracked/measured/graded on the basis of

mutually agreed metrics and these grades are used to determine if penalties

should be assessed on vendor and, it may impact, if the vendor is awarded

the health and welfare business the following year. This tool manages the

negotiation process for the performance guarantee measurements, called

metrics. It will also be used to collect actual result metrics, and report

Description: Request for proposal is a web based product that is used to

stream line data collection and reporting component of the selection and

renewal process. The RFP allows client to gather accurate and timely

information needed to make critical decisions, identify the health plans

that best meet their organization's need and achieve better overall

results.

RFP was a three year program which comprises of multiple releases. In every

release this product was enhanced in its capabilities. Few major milestones

were

1) Admin Application: Complete admin module was developed, which helps

RFP admin user to organize master set of questions to be asked in the RFP

(questionnaire). This majorly reduces time and cost spent earlier in which

admin has to log issues with operations team to do the same.

2) Custom Questions: Custom Question functionality was added in the

RFP product to enable Hewitt Consultant's to add client specific question

in questionnaire. This functionality helps consultant to customize RFP over

and above the master set of question to create RFP very specific to client

needs and hence effective.

3) %age Completion: This functionality was developed to see the %age

completion of every section in the RFP (questionnaire). This helps Hewitt

Consultant/Vendor users/Clients to keep track of the RFP and take necessary

actions if required.

4) Copy RFP: Copy RFP functionality was developed to copy over entire

RFP for the next year. In this way consultant's save their major effort

(creating and customizing RFP) in all the renewal bids. Copy functionality

copies entire structure of previous year RFP with blank responses and its

ready to be sent again.

5) Reports: Number of reports are added which are utilized by Hewitt

Consultants/Vendors/Clients at all phases of RFP.

Health Resource Requests for Proposal supports all medical selection and

renewal proposals including:

Over 160 clients; and

More than 5,000 RFPs sent to 2,000 health plans annually.

Whole product can be broadly categorized in three sections:

Intranet Site (Hewitt.HHR.RFP.Consultant): This application is used by

Hewitt's consultants to prepare the RFP on behalf of their client using pre-

existing templates. Consultants customize the RFP as per the client

requirement and send it to the various health plans.

Internet Site (Hewitt.HHR.RFP.Respondent): This application is used by

health plans/vendors to respond to the RFPs send to them by Hewitt on

behalf of client.

Admin Utility (Hewitt.HHR.RFP.Utility): This is the module where RFP

templates are created and data in to various master tables is managed.
