PROFILE
I support clients in the pursuit of their missions and goals through the identification of funding sources, the
authoring of successful proposals fusing client needs and funding source interests, the completion of
application processes, and the resolution of inter agency issues. Utilizing professional skills acquired during
thirty years in resource development consulting, local government, nonprofit management and higher
education administration, and grant proposal review for foundations and governmental agencies, I have
developed successful grant proposals securing strategic and project specific funding exceeding $1.4 billion
from foundation and government sources.
CONSULTING PRACTICE
Since 1982, I have worked with local, state, national and international organizations, including start up and
well established governmental and nonprofit institutions with divergent missions addressing: Children &
Youth, Community Development, Culture, Education, Environment, Health, Immigration, Medicine,

proposals seeking both long term & project specific funding, across the spectrum of available types of
support including: Building/Renovation, Continuing Support, Emergency Funds, Endowment Funds,
Equipment, General/Operating, Land Acquisition, Matching Funds, Program Development, Publication,
Research, Scholarships & Seed Money.
A representative sampling of funding sources includes the following corporate & private foundations: Abbot
