Job Description

• To troubleshoot SDH circuits ranging from E1 to STM-64 bandwidth.

• To configure SDH equipments ranging from STM-1 to STM-16 in terms of synchronization, provisioning and

management.

• Rerouting of traffic in case of multiple fiber cut/Outage.

• To monitor and troubleshoot SDH Alarms.

• To co-ordinate with field engineers for installation and testing of Network elements (add/drop

Multiplexers).

• To co-ordinate with field engineers on solutions to equipment configuration, hardware faults.

• To Provision of E1/DS3/STM1 Links for RTL, Enterprise Customer, BTS, POI, EVDO, Inter MSC,

DCN etc.

• To co-ordinate on Planned Event activities carried out for preventive or corrective maintenance of

the network.

• To co-ordinate with field engineers for error rectification.

• Fault management and resolution and Escalations of faults to concerned departments.

• To maintain fault records in OSS

• Further, Project includes Fault Finding in small Network consisting of E1’s on PDH Level

Networks which are used to provide services like Virtual Private Network (VPN), Direct Leased

Circuits (DLC), Direct Internet Access (DIA), Broadband Internet Access(BIA), Base Trans-

• Sound knowledge of of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Plesiocronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH).

• Fault Management & Support on Marconi, NORTEL &Tellabs Equipments.

• Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers (Vendor- Nortel TN 1C/1X, TN 4XE, TN 41X, TN 16X, DX, HDX)

and Optra LH 1600G Amplifiers, CPL (Common Photonic Layer).
