Energy, Monrovia
Reliability Test Technician (4/2010 - 9/20/13)
Direct involvement in reliability testing of solar module product in
providing design improvements, failure analysis and solutions. Generated
engineering test reports through data collection, compilation and
graphing. Main overall responsibilities maintain Thermotron chamber and
test equipments in performing repair and calibration. Oversees and
monitor solar module assembly on sun exposure outdoor testing measurement
and data collection. Assisted and provide support with Test Scientist,
Production manager and Engineers on all aspect of testing in mechanical,
electrical, compiles data, various graph and test report. Used various
test equipments to measure module performance and inspection. Interface
with Vendors for technical issues and assist manufacturing departments as
needed to meet production goal. Maintain equipment PM, Repair, purchase
parts and also making arrangement for outside service maintenance.
Design, build test fixtures and wire harness to be use for special test.
Modified panel structure to withstand module capability in mechanical
load testing and design / build spray test fixture. At the new building
in Irwindale layout chamber location, electrical and complete pluming
work installation of DI water filter and pipe line use to supply chamber
humidity system and production humidity curing room.

Mechanical design / drafting ENGINEERING (3/1997 - 3/2010)
Mechanical design engineer responsible for all functions of the
engineering process. Designed/engineered components and assemblies
enabling high-speed digital printing systems to process "out-of-spec"
media. Modified paper path transports to process lightweight paper and
envelope media by manipulating spring loads, coefficient of friction, and
guide materials. Developed vision systems to identify verify media and
data integrity. Provided on-site customer installation and
engineering/diagnostic support domestically and in Europe. Direct
Involvement in all levels of unique value added products solutions to
Xerox printer per customer requirements. Direct involvement and support
in all levels of development workflow: mechanical design, electrical
harness build and design, stock testing and validation, cost and schedule
estimating, maintenance, trouble shooting, support EMI testing, unit-
build assemblies, product demos and product delivery install.
. Designed, modified, assembled, tested, and installed Xerox Certified
third party finishing devices to process Lighter paper, CP Bourg
(Booklet Maker and Book Binder).
. Member of M.E. tiger team: Designed, modified, assembled, tested, and
installed Xerox's first production High Speed single pass color press,
IGen3, to print full large format transparencies for book publishing
industries.
. Member of M.E. tiger team: Designed, modified, assembled, tested, and
installed custom printers to accept roll-feed inputs to improve
production throughputs. These products are now deployed worldwide.
. Member of M.E. tiger team: Designed, modified, assembled, tested, and
installed a patented Cover Driven Workflow automated book publishing
solution using bar code data on the cover to control printing output.
This revolutionary technology automatically verifies the book body
content to the correct book cover.
