• Managed all aspects of a 70 employee company work shift including recruitment, hiring and training of staff, budgeting, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures, supplies procurement, performance evaluation and motivation of employees.
• Increased cash flow through review of inventory that had accumulated due to engineering changes. Implemented new Kanban levels where materials were now delivered Just-in-Time reducing inventory in excess of 25%.
• Increased productivity by initiating daily meetings between Production and Planning Departments. Political issues were erased and a better understanding of real issues effecting production and product quality took hold.
• Enhanced production strategies by partnering with IT to put all scheduling reports on-line. Information was now accessible each morning leading to better forecasting, production priorities and customer satisfaction. Renewal, referral and new business resulted.
• Boosted product quality through development of a new check sheet tool in final assembly to ensure all critical quality issues were corrected prior to a quality audit. First pass yields were increased to 96% from 88% winning the department the Quality of The Year Award.
• Improved inventory accuracy by establishing a Buddy System whereby a 2nd person signed off after checking the data entry process. Inventory accuracy increased to 99.9% eliminating count issues and stopping MRP from ordering the wrong quantities of material.
• Boosted morale through promotion of a team-based work atmosphere. Provided assignments of increased responsibility, opportunities for cross-training and performance incentives that encouraged a sense of ownership in the overall process.

• Reduced operational expense through review and restructure of the refurbishment department which had been throwing out cables, power supplies and other accessories returned from the field. Worked with component engineering to return many parts to stock saving thousands of dollars.
• Took-on the movement of a product line from an offshore island to Haiti for production. Learned the process through observation and then developed a comprehensive training program to instruction the Haitians in making this product. Created curricula, handouts and successfully delivered lecture, small group and one-on-one instruction.
• Increased cash flow through review of the scrap which was sold to brokers with no formal bidding process. Brought in 3 different scrap brokers to bid and compete on the scrap to be sold, increasing its value over 25%.
• Enhanced product quality by observing an automatic progressive line where employees complained that the area where parts were inserted by hand was going too fast. Had process engineering do a time study and adjust the line speeds based on product that was being assembled. Product quality improved.
• Boosted customer satisfaction by implementing a barcode verification system for each sales order created. Incorrect shipment of product to our customers was reduced over 30% improving relations, additional sales and new business opportunities.
