To whom it may concern,
I’m submitting an application for the Sales Consultant position in Halifax you advertised on
NovaScotiaJobShop.ca.
I have spent the last 6 months working full-time as an Account Manager for two local Halifax radio stations
– Energy 103.5 and Live 105. During that time I have managed all aspects of client relationships including
contracting, billing and collections.
I am a self-motivated people person and sport lover who has previously followed a successful career in golf
operations. I have enjoyed many aspects of the golf industry and feel that my greatest asset lies in my ability
to liaise, negotiate and consult with a broad range of clients. For my career to progress, I am striving to build
on my experience in a role which would maximize my strength.
I moved to Australia in 2003 where I was employed as Golf Operations Manager dealing with over 1500
members and guests on a daily basis. I returned to Canada in 2013 and was employed at Glen Arbour Golf
Course for the summer before beginning my current role.
What I like most about my current job is that it gives me the opportunity to utilize my personal skills. I am
comfortable speaking openly to both large and small groups, am able to work independently and take
initiative when needed, but also work well in a team environment. I understand the importance of having the
ability to work effectively to prioritise workloads and build on relationships.
I am an enthusiastic, honest, and loyal worker with a positive attitude.
I feel that I could be a valuable asset to your team, and I bring to the table all of the skills that you require in
a sales representative. I look forward to discussing my application in greater detail with you.
Yours Sincerely,
Aaron Young
