Employed as a contract technician by ALC Technical. Duties included supporting
production activity such as troubleshooting/repairing production failures; testing,
troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying incoming subassemblies from our vendors. I
also interfaced with engineering on new products being released to production in regards
to any production issues.

Production Technician
Employed as a temporary technician by ALC Technical. Duties included
building/soldering printed circuit cards from scratch, building minor test fixtures, and
cable assemblies. Also tested, troubleshot, and repaired numerous commercial printed
circuit cards. During my final year at Advanced Systems, I tested, troubleshot, and
repaired commercial printers for Catalina Marketing at Advanced Systems while still
employed by ALC Technical.

Employed as a temporary technician by Westaff. Built various minor automotive
subassemblies from blueprints. Also worked at times on some of the main build lines
hand-inserting electronic components into printed circuit cards according to the
diagrams/paperwork.

Factory Service Technician and Quality Auditor
Employed as a temporary technician by Spherion. Worked mostly in the factory service
department performing soldering update modifications and rework on commercial field
return modems. The printed circuit cards were mainly surface mount where a microscope
and lighted loop were needed to perform the upgrades.
Also worked at times in the quality department auditing residential modems which were
ready for shipment. The modems were checked for proper programming and operation;
the ancillary components were also checked against the BOM to ensure they were
correct.

Employed as a temporary technician by Kelly Services. I worked in the clean room
processing lenses which are implanted during cataract surgery. The lenses are checked
for proper dimension, power, and then for visible defects under a microscope.

Initially employed as a temporary technician by TECH STAFF in the prototype testing
(hardware, software, and gas testing) of a hand-held gas detection device. Later worked
as a regular employee in the production department testing and troubleshooting the
company's products – gas detection and air sampling devices. Performed the actual
soldering on most of the repairs, both surface mount and through-the hole. Also
interfaced with engineering on proto-type units and with the quality department on
vendor related issues.
