TD Bank, NA., Portland, ME March 2011 – Current

AVP, Disability & Leave Administration

Leads the Leave & Disability team for TD, Bank, NA. Responsible for the development & execution of a compliant and

effective program that delivers a positive leave & disability experience for our entire U.S. footprint (26,000 employees).

• Developed MS Access & Excel based, macro-driven solutions automating 30-35 hours a week of manual labor,

which in turn allowed for better customer service, improved team morale & created a mindset of value-added

strategic work.

• Successfully co-authored an extensive Leave & Disability vendor RFP, developing day-long demo scripts for the

finalists & influencing Sr. Leadership to approve our new vendor contract worth $6.5 million annually.

Subsequently chosen as Business Project Leader and implemented in four months.

• Developed integrated leave & disability reporting and metrics combining data from both our Leave vendor and

PeopleSoft that delivers value added information to our HR partners so that they may effectively serve their lines

of business in a strategic fashion.

Manager, HR Technology Services (5/03 – 2/10)

Developed and implemented the Human Resource Department’s first technology vision, strategy and roadmap, leading a

team of HR professionals to define, develop and deploy efficient and effective HR systems and processes. Drove process

and technology solutions that contributed to superior business results and bottom-line savings of $500k.

• Managed a multi-project portfolio deploying resources that supported business case development, analysis,

planning and implementation.

• Developed metric reporting and managed information for business partners and executives: developed tools and

solutions that provided fingertip access to information that inform the business decision process.

• Facilitated the delivery of corporate HR Operations Budget ($19 million), including “in-year” budget tracking and

forecasting. Managed the development of corporate HR Capital Systems Budget.

Selected Accomplishments:

• L.L. Bean’s first HR Metrics and Talent Dashboard provided senior leaders with actionable data such as retention

of top performers, new hire and termination surveys and several FTE/financial ratios.

• Online hosted Benefits Enrollment System eliminating paper and phone enrollment.

• Implemented Lawson Self Service for viewing of personal information and management of people. This

eliminated paper processing for HR and estimated savings of $300k over 4 years.

Forecasting Analyst (3/00 – 5/03)

Completed sales reporting and forecasting for all Direct Sales channel efforts. Performed database queries to gather sales

data; complex analysis of historical demand data; and the application of current external economic factors/variables in

order to determine an accurate sales forecast. Published and communicated sales and forecast reporting to senior

executives through email and intranet website.

Selected Accomplishments:

• Streamlined entire reporting/forecasting process through the use of VBA and database scripting.

• As the Corporate Marketing representative, assisted operational areas in converting sales forecast into appropriate

staffing levels to effectively service the business. This involved analysis of historical sales curves, review of

current, external economic factors and trends, and discussions with senior leaders in several functional areas.

Health Watch Technology, Portland, Maine April 1999 – March 2000

Lead Analyst

Developed, implemented, optimized and fine tuned software used for the detection of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse for this

start-up company. Interpreted Medicaid Payment Regulations and converted these policies into SQL algorithms using

Oracle 8 database. Analyzed and reported data results utilizing ODBC reporting tools Access and Crystal Reports.

Projects included: designing, developing and maintenance of a three-tiered Accounts Receivable package and Cash

posting system.
