Duties and Responsibilities during the course of experience in all areas assigned:
Upholds high standard of nursing care for a diverse population of patient from newborn
to geriatrics in a variety of setting including Medical –Surgical and Pediatrics Nursing:
a. Assessment : Taking history and performs patient assessment including neurologic,
cardiovascular, respiratory, gastro intestinal, genitor urinary, IV site/ line and certain arrays of
tests and procedures.
b. Planning: Educated patients and their families on disease process, medical- surgical procedures
and broad aspects of therapeutic regimen including safe medication and pain management
technique.
As an observer learned the legal role that chart- based medical records hold during
court proceedings.
c. Implementations: Followed aseptic procedures and provided care in accordance with Universal
Precautions with an emphasis on Surgical/ Traumatic wound care, debriding, intake and output
and ostomies. Administered oral, intravenous intramuscular, subcutaneous medications.

I.
Composed of 50 beds with mini ICU and post operative room with emergency medical
equipments and medications, mechanical ventilators and cardiac monitors for continuous
monitoring of high risk and severely ill patients that categorized depending on the level of care
needed; with two nurses is to 50 patient ratio
Duties and Responsibilities :
a. Gives direct nursing care and identifying nursing needs of patient; admits patient; performs such
nursing activities such as bathing and oral hygiene; assisting patient in moving, maintaining
proper alignment of patients’ body and utilizing body mechanics; taking and recording vital signs
alignment; observing medical sepsis; reporting observation to physician; Observing and
assessing patients physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Carrying out doctors legal orders and
timely recorded. Charting accurately medication treatments as ordered. Acts a s a senior nurse
when delegated.
Assist patient in completing diagnostics and laboratory test to have a cardio-pulmonary

clearance. Fair understanding to the successive tests and procedures used in neurologic disorders
done in every patient. Preparing patient for and assisting physician with diagnostic and
therapeutic procedures.
Provide nursing care for pre- operative patients including shaving, bowel preparations, removing

cardio category patient providing ECG, echocardiography with Doppler, treadmill stress test, 24
Holter Monitoring. Conducts referral and linkages to and other institutions such as Philippine
Heart Center for special procedures and major heart operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform advance cardiac life support and monitor until stable.
