Summary

Program Management

I have experience in management of O&M projects of power plants and outage coordinating. I have

managed training development and capacity building programs throughout the Middle East and the US

for a number of utilities and ministries, and managed two training development companies. I oversaw

programs for business cultural change in for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity.

Instructional System Design

I have developed labor skill training programs for electric utilities, road construction, building trades, electric

linemen, power industry trades, and oil & gas upstream and downstream. I used a blended approach to

instructional design incorporating instructor led courses, elearning, OJT, and hands on performance learning.

Technical Writing

I have written SOPs, operating and maintenance procedures and technical manuals for various industry clients including

pharmaceutical, fossil fuel power generation, nuclear power generation, water treatment, and oil & gas.

Instrument & Controls

I have been a lead instrument tech for utilities responsible for installing, operating, and calibrating various digital

and analog process instruments. I have operated and maintained CEMS monitoring systems and performed

calibrations and filed required state and local reports. I have experience with the installation, programming and

troubleshooting of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Koyo, Modicon, and GE PLCs. I have worked on the Teleperm TXP,

Bailey infi-90 and Net 90, WonderWare, and Emmerson Delta V, DCS systems.

Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Kabul, Afghanistan

O&M/Training Manager, January 2013-November 2013

• Contracted as O&M Manager for Afghan utility to provide oversight for 105 MW diesel power plant and provide

training to plant staff

• Recovered automation programs for PLCs and recommissioned the control system that had been damaged by operator

error

• Recovered HMI DCS software that had been infected by a virus

• Provided training on distributed control system troubleshooting and architecture as well as various power plant

systems and maintenance

• Developed O&M plan to include preventive maintenance program for plant components and switchyard operations
