? Rebuilt 3 Glass Kilns for $15K each in house
rather than having outside vendor do for $85 K
each.
? Resigned existing Grinders and build 2 Wet cut
saws used primarily in Extrusion process for $12K
each rather than purchasing a Dicing saw for $150K.
? Implemented Program change in Wet Cut saws to
"Mirror Image" Notching of product to reduce
manpower required as part of the Inline Process.
? Worked with OEM to determine best practice on
the rebuilding of their pressing equipment.
Developed Predictive Rebuild of equipment based on
weeks of service in production.
Further refined Predictive Rebuild by determining
what components needed to be replaced based on
weeks of service. The equipment would be fully
rebuilt only after 78 weeks of service. There
would be partial rebuilds that occurred 26 and 52
weeks of service. The replacement components were
setup in "Kits" that would be used based on the
number of weeks of service.
Initiated the fabrication of components, by Machine
Shop, necessary for Repair of equipment or to be
used as part of Production Process rather than use
OEM supplied components at significant savings
while maintaining OEM Specs and Quality.
? Directed outside vendor on design criteria of
Bulk Weighing system that was accurate to within
5 pounds on an 1800 pound batch, increasing
the quality of final mix.
