Collaborated o n a team of three to prove whether or not the U.S. economy can grow at a rate o f

3.3% continuously over the next 50 years. Researched the population growth based o n

number of children in correlation with goods purchased, education versus number of

children, and other growth measurements (Gross National happiness (GNH),

unemployment rates, average incomes, etc.). Analyzed data comparing GDP to

substitute measurements such as GNH. Developed conclusion highlighting that GDP

has flaws in it because it does not measure volunteer work, donations, or under the

table work.

I n a gro up o f three we helped impro ve Tuft ’s veter in ar y cli nic’s phone tree system and

process flow to improve efficiency. We eliminated unnecessary phone lines and gave Tuft’s

valuable process flow suggestions. These suggestions were devised from weekly visit to

the Hospital, where we would time every process and shadow doctors and customers. We

then made diagrams and charts out of the data we found and presented it to the Hospital.

We also wrote a report on the project that discussed everything we did during the project,

from when we started researching hospitals to when we presented our final product.

Major Qualifying Project: GE Aviation Tube Polishing Robot, WP I, August 2012-April

2013

In a group of four we will be programing a robotic arm to be able to mimic human movements so

that it can be able to polish the tubes that are going into the engines of the planes . Also we will

be adding more features to the robotic arm to make the arm’s tasks feasible. Project will

require Computer-Aided Manufacturing and SolidWorks.

Present

Consulted companies in lean and six-sigma practices, conducted process mapping and lean training, also

worked with Visual Manufacturing 7.1. Participated in TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) events

and helped conduct Warehouse Management Reports. Also had the opportunity to conduct a time study

in a warehouse, main job function was to facilitate for the continuous improvement specialist.

Over the course of the summer I had the privilege to work full time with one of Frito Lay’s

newest and fastest growing acquisitions, Stacy’s Pita. I worked on a mass balance project and

an optimization project in which I investigated and devised a better solution to calculate their

mass balance and optimize space.
