• Monitored project progress and costs utilizing contractor reports for 3-4 projects simultaneously.

PowerPoint for presentation.
• Took the lead in preparing Project Initialization documents: reviewed details of project, collaborated with
project manager, wrote descriptive sections, presented project scope details. IP documents were 100%
approved by client allowing projects to proceed.
• Coordinated preparation for drawing reviews for approximately 25 members of the project teams

Department for the delivery of premier quality severe service ball valves.
• Co-managed the delivery of valve orders of $2-10 million to ensure on time delivery of 90% while
exceeding customer specifications: reviewed contracts to understand client requirements and negotiated
exceptions when necessary, planned for any additional manufacturing requirements such as special
designs from engineering, materials, etc.
• Tracked orders during manufacturing to ensure customers requirements were met for Material
Certifications, and specifications for quality, testing, and cleanliness.

Project Coordination Engineer; Petrobras Comperj Project
Supported the Project Management Team during the Basic Design and FEED stages of a multi-billion dollar
refinery/petro-chemical project.
• Took ownership of the Overall Project Actions List of 324 items. Verified and agreed upon completion of
items with senior Petrobras personnel enabling project team to focus on unresolved items.
• Managed the development of over 65 highly specialized technical queries for submission to Petrobras.
Acted as liaison with my counterpart at the client. As a result, queries were routed to the proper
personnel saving time and increasing precision of answers.
• Investigated and detailed changes in the project scope requested by the client that would affect project
cost and/or schedule. As a result changes in the scope were documented and the extra costs or time
overruns were assigned to the client preventing manpower increases of 2-10% and penalties associated
with time overruns.
• Compiled information and prepared graphics to show how slow delivery times in client’s document
transfer system affected engineering productivity. Justified to the client that delays related to their
system resulted in underutilized man-hours. Information was used to avoid penalties that could have
been assessed due to cost overruns.
