Redesigned a bi-saddle bicycle seat with the main objective of simplifying

the manufacturing process, reducing overall cost, improving stability and

refining usability through the process below:

. Developed the bicycle seat into a 3D model using the Solidworks CAD

software.

. Redesigned the base of the seat and the padding with constraints from

the customer.

. Conducted market research on various options for manufacturing the

base and seat pad.

. Developed a pair-wise comparison that led to the final configuration

of options.

. Reduced overall cost of the bicycle seat from $220 to $80.
