Kraft Foods IS Manager, Application Support Governance Oct 2012 -

Current

Nayan currently provides leadership to establish processes on how changes

to Kraft's SAP (ECC, CRM, SCM and BI) and non-SAP production systems need

to handled to ensure continued system stability and availability. Nayan is

responsible to establish and enforce ITIL-based Incident Management,

Problem Management and Change Management procedures; oversee supplier's SLA

performance; manage corporate Production Support Calendar; oversee

ticket/incident trends and serve as an escalation point for application

support issues. Nayan also oversees Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance effort

in the Application Support area. Nayan manages an annual budget over $12

million that includes activities around cost center management, identifying

opportunities for cost/productivity savings, contract management with

suppliers, creation of spend plans, management of purchase orders, approval

of payments, and identification/resolution of of budget related issues.

Kraft Foods IS Manager, AMS Supplier Transition Sep 2013 - Dec 2013

Following the RFP initiative (as decribed below), Nayan led the significant

supplier transition effort from the exisitng supplier to the newly selected

supplier. This initiative was organized into a central Transition

Management Office (TMO - that Nayan led) and five functional sub-teams -

one per IS Service Delivery Stream at Kraft viz. Integrated Supply Chain,

Sales & Marketing, Corporate Functions, Chief Technology Office and

Strategy. During the three months of aggressive transition, Nayan oversaw

various phases including Knowledge Transfer, Secondary Support and Primary

Support - leading into the cutover. During this period, Nayan helped

enabling the logistical needs between the existing and the new suppliers;

helped define the key deliverables for each phases, measurement and

acceptance (pass/fail) criteria; actively led risk mitigation discussions;

provided input to supplier's staffing model; helped defined roles and

responsibilites of Kraft and supplier personnel and and established

constant alignment amongst numerous stakeholders and top level IS

executives including Kraft's CIO, Senior Directors and Directors.

Kraft Foods IS RFP Lead, RFP Initiative & Supplier Selection Jan 2013

- Aug 2013

In this role, Nayan led a massive RFP initiative (Request for Proposal) to

select a long term AMS (Application Maintenance Services) supplier to

provide end-to-end integrated production support of all SAP and non-SAP

aplications (around 200 applications in total). This RFP program was

organized into five sub-projects - one sub-project per IS Service Delivery

Stream at Kraft viz. Integrated Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Corporate

Functions, Chief Technology Office and Strategy. This initiative included

selecting one supplier from five top-notched competing companies. The

result of this initiative will enable Kraft to achive huge cost savings

(about $15 million over a period of three years) along with the significant

improvement of service quality and customer satisfaction. Nayan oversaw

this RFP program from start to finish - including the RFP scoping

activities (applications, queues and historical ticket volumes); review of

the proposals received from the suppliers; supplier scorecard preparation;

interfacing with Kraft's Supplier Management Team; interfacing with Kraft's

IS Procurement Team; leading supplier orals; and leading supplier

calibration and ranking discussion amongs key Kraft stakeholders. This

entire RFP program was successfully and smoothly delivered in a rapid

timeline.

Kraft Foods IS Manager, Plan-To-Cash Service Delivery Stream Jan 2011 -

Oct 2012

In this role, Nayan managed a large portfolio of over 20 distinct projects

within the Plan-To-Cash Service Delivery Stream at Kraft. Nayan's

responsibilities included overseeing the health of each individual project

from a milestone as well as budget standpoints. Overall, Nayan managed this

programs with annual budgets in the range of $10-12 million. In addition,

Nayan also led the annual portfolio planning activities for the with the

goal of creating the list of approved projects for the Plan-To-Cash Service

Delivery Stream for upcoming years. Key responsibilities included

establishing alignment with the sub-teams within the Plan-To-Cash area,

collecting data/details on potential projects, and vetting the projects in

multiple iterations based on business criticality, ROI, IRR and viability -

and finally getting budget approvals on the selected projects.

Kraft Foods IS Manager, Legacy Applications Retirement Apr 2010 - Oct

2012

As a result of the North American SAP implementation (as described below),

several key leagcy applications were retired and the corresponding

functionalities were redesigned and implemented in SAP. Nayan successfully

led a crucial initiative to retire Kraft's multiple important legacy

applications - including a legacy order processing application viz. COD

(Central Order Database), a planning and forecasting application and the

legacy master data application. These applications were considered

critical at Kraft - and hence this retirement initiative was complex, long

and needed careful planning. The complexity was caused by the numerous

applications that were interfaced to these applications and the remediating

all these dependent applications in a timely and orderly fashion without

disrupting business operations was a daunting initiative.

Kraft Foods IS Manager, SAP WRICEF Development Dec 2007 - Mar 2010

As a part of Catalyst, a massive $1 Billion North American SAP

implementation, development of custom WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports,

Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms) using ABAP, SAP XI/PI,

BI/BW and other releated technologies was a significant initiative by

itself. These WRICEFs were spread across multiple functional areas

including Material-To-Inventory (MTI), Order-To-Cash (OTC), Source-To-Pay

(STP), Record-To-Report (RTR) and Sell-To-Customer (STC). In total, over

2000 WRICEF objects were delivered as part of this implementation. Nayan

led a team of upto 120 people (onshore and offshore combined) that

comprised of external technical managers and developers from IBM and many

Kraft's internal team members and managed a budget of $12 million.

Kraft Foods Project Manager, PMO Of North American SAP Implementation

Feb 2007 - Dec 2007

The PMO was established to ensure that the North American SAP

implementation program was equipped with an detailed workplan, release

management strategy, tools, processes, templates, testing methodology and

various checks and balances needed to be successful. Nayan was a key player

in the early stage PMO - and with partnership with IBM, Nayan led

activities in the areas of workplan creation, establishing ASAP methodology

and deliverable templates, risk analysis and escalation and status

reporting.

Kraft Foods Program Manager, Global Application Upgrade & Remediation

Jun 2006 - Feb 2007

As part of Kraft's global infrastructure/IT outsourcing contract with HP,

Kraft was responsible for upgrading all applications, databases and

operating systems to the N-1 state, with N being the most recent

commercially available version. Nayan led the planning for this initiative,

with partnership with Infosys, that included over 3000 applications across

North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. Deliverables

included an executable, multi-year and phase-by-phase workplan to upgrade

or retire applications and establishing stakeholder alignment in the

various regions.

Deloitte Estee Lauder Program Manager - SAP Integration Melville, NY

Nov 2005 - Jun 2006

Known as Strategic Modernization Initiative (SMI), this large-scale global

business re-engineering initiative used SAP as the core ERP package, MySAP

methodology and WebMethods middleware. Nayan managed the application

integration team of over 25 people that built over 200 SAP ABAP WRICEF

objects. In addition, Nayan helped define the direction, best practices and

processes for the newly formed Integration Competency Center at Estee

Lauder.

Deloitte Homedics Project Manager - Application Integration Commerce

Known as Project Delta, this mid-size business transformation initiative

used JD Edwards as the ERP system and WebMethods middleware. Nayan was
