Objective
Beginning a career in mechanical design engineering for an employer that will offer exciting new
experiences and challenges; and above all else the opportunity to continue to learn and grow.
Professional Experience
AGM Container Controls
November 2011 – July 2013
Mechanical Engineering Design Internship
June 2013-July 2013
Created a prototype system for the simultaneous testing of five different 2-way
breather valves based on a Mil-Spec document.
- Some of the tests required were: a lifetime cycling test, extreme high and low
temperature tests, humidity tests, vibration tests, and salt fog tests.
Selected the needed components from various vendors and neatly organized them into
a spreadsheet.
Utilized rapid prototyping machine for tests with the goal of reducing the overall cost of
the project.
Multiple design iterations to improve functionality and manufacturability.
Machine Operator
May 2012- July 2013
Oversaw the operation of CNC machines.
Checked tolerances of completed parts for compliance with engineering drawings using
calipers, micrometers, comparators, and others found in a QC department.
Extensive knowledge of various machines including: manual mills, manual lathes, CNC
mills, CNC lathes, and many others typically found in a machine shop.
Learned how to properly set up a CNC mill based on the G-code for a given part.
Gained the knowledge and skillset to understand the importance of tolerances and
material selection as they relate to engineering drawings and manufacturability.
Created many prototype parts and tools for the engineering department.
Scanner/Production
November 2011-May 2012
Entrusted with scanning and organizing sensitive engineering documents into AGM
computer systems.
Efficiently assembled breather valves in the production department.

Senior design project:
Designed and manufactured three different sized high flow breather valves.
Over the course of a year, our team used a new innovative technology to create a valve with
high flow capabilities in both the pressure and vacuum directions. The project won an award for
Best Use of Prototyping. It was also nominated for Best Use of Engineering Analysis, Best
Analytically Driven Design, and Best Overall Design.
