Child care learning and development

I am currently in still in sixth form studying this course but I March I will be qualified as a

level 3 nursery nurse

While I have been doing this course have been on placement in a school called clwyd school

which is situated on the penlan area of Swansea, while I was there I was working with

underprivileged children. I have also been on placement in rose gardens day nursery which is

situated in the uplands area Swansea there was a different environment here as the children

that I was working with were not underprivileged and they were also younger children.

When I went on these placements I had to do a number of different things such as plan

activity for the children and I also had to do observations on a child that I chose, I would

also take notes on the routines that took place throughout the day and I would look at the

placements policy’s . I have had experience in a child friendly environment and I have learnt

about child protect and health and safety.

Employment

I am currently employed at a retail company called Matalan I enjoy working for this

company because I have learn new things about retail that I did not know. I have made a lot

of new friends at this company as I am easy going and get along with people.

Future

I have enrolled into collage and I am currently doing a night course called pre access I am

hoping that when I finish this course that I will be able to continue onto doing the access to

nursing course and qualify from that and hopefully get into university to do adult nursing.

Hobbies

Socializing, fitness classes, gym, looking after children
