• Fabricate, alter, and repair dental devices such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays,

implants and porcelain.

• Deep knowledge of dental porcelain systems and precious and non-precious metal

systems.

• Work with materials such as waxes, plastics, precious and non-precious alloys and a

variety of porcelains.

• Solder, arc weld, or spot weld metal to removable appliances and fixed bridges.

• Perform specialized procedures such as the fabrication of plastic and porcelain facings;

precision attachment restorations; crowns; and bridges.

• Thorough knowledge of standard laboratory practices including safe operation of

required tools and equipment such as adjustable and semi-adjustable articulators, high

temperature porcelain furnaces, and conventional lathes .

• Excellent ability to read, interpret, and work from specifications or prescriptions.

• Sound ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

• In-depth ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Ability to operate computers and other standard office equipment.
