Reporting to the Sr. VP of Operations, I manage all material handling
and facilities maintenance functions for 4 separate buildings totaling 1.6
mil sq ft. The main fulfillment facility encompasses just under 1 m sq ft.
Responsible for 1 Facility manager 2 supervisors, 2 lead personnel, 2
technical specialist and 20 maintenance technicians. Comprised of over 4
miles of automated conveying systems and 100 fork trucks and a packaging
area, the Jefferson City facility is a satisfying challenge to manage.
Responsibilities include FY capital budgeting, expense budgeting and SME
support for all system installation and upgrades.

I managed all facets of maintenance within this highly automated
distribution center. The center is encompassed within a 745,000 sq ft
building designed around the MH system. The MH systems consists of 23
miles of automated conveyer systems that include 3 high speed Dematic shoe
sorters, 18 AGV's, 10 Dematic AS/RS cranes and 90 electric fork lifts. My
responsibilities included reporting on all KPI's monthly, ensuring all PM
work, project work and repairs are completed correctly and timely. I
created and maintained all budgets pertaining to maintenance of the
facility and grounds. I also worked very closely with all corporate
resources to implement and oversee all initiatives within the facility. I
also created annual capital improvement budgets for the facility and
systems.

I managed the total maintenance responsibilities of one of FedEx
Ground's largest automated hubs in North America. The facility processes
30,000 packages per hour utilizing over 1250 high speed conveyors.
Responsibilities included the upkeep and maintenance of the $52 million, 64
acre complex that sorts and distributes packages, with the precision of
Accusort's bar-code scanning technology, and the automation of
Rapistan/Siemens high-speed parcel sortation equipment. Scope of position
was expansive and included departmental direction and design, installation,
engineering, implementation, support, training, administration, and
management authority for all physical equipment and building structures.
Hired, trained, developed, and led a 13-person technical team.
Utilized proven preventative maintenance procedures along with new
custom tailored procedures to ensure all equipment was kept in immaculate
shape. Extensive experience, as related to Rapistan/Siemens specific
equipment. I.E.: RS-200 high speed shoe sorter systems, popup steer-able
roller sorters, and intermediary transport conveyors. Familiar with
Rapistan/ Siemens' warranty and parts ordering procedures. I have
extensive experience with their RSCC (Rapid Sort Control Cabinet) and PLC
programming procedures, programmers and troubleshooting techniques.
Managed a $1.8 million/yr. budget. Successfully finished the last 3
years under 88% of budgeted dollars. Budgets of responsibility routinely
came in below 90% of budgeted dollars. Fiscal responsibility has always
been a top priority.
Additional responsibility of the full startup and continued management
support of FedEx's St Louis, MO. automated facility and several smaller
terminals within the Plains Region.

Managed all building and equipment maintenance for Kinney
Shoes' Footlocker 660,000-sqft distribution center. Responsibilities
encompassed the complete maintenance program for the center. With over 7
miles of conveyor and 61 heavy fork trucks, the job was a challenge with
only five maintenance personnel. Oversaw all conveyors, forklifts,
lighting systems, electrical systems, PLC's (upon my accepting this
position I increased our shipping throughput by 35% by reprogramming the
shipping PLC controller), bar-code scanners, bar-code printers, phone
systems, HVAC systems, heating water circulation system, building
maintenance, janitorial, and all other maintenance tasks that were
requested. Also managed of all new installation and renovation projects.
