MAY 2009 – DEC 2013: Employer: DWP, Market Harborough, England

Position: Assistant Adviser/ Team Leader

I was employed as an Assistant Recruitment Adviser at Market Harborough Jobcentre Plus.

As Assistant Recruitment Adviser my time was spent interviewing up to twenty customers a day, advising them on routes into work and available training and ensuring that their benefits are paid correctly.

Part of my role as Assistant Adviser saw me undertaking the job of Financial Assessor whereby I will perform intensive interviews with customers to ensure that they qualify for the benefits that they have applied to.

I am often tasked with working as Team Leader in the absence of my Line Manager. This entails Managing staff and office rotas, ensuring the office’s diaries are complete and up to date, and liaising with the office HEO and Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the Jobcentre.

MAY – SEPTEMBER 2008: Employer: Self Employed, Malia, Crete

Position: Sales & Publicity

During my time in Crete I worked on a self employed basis selling tickets for local events and publicising local venues. This involved good customer service skills to quickly build a rapport with members of the public in order to interest them in the events I was promoting.

JUNE 2006 - MAY 2008: Employer: Nationwide, Northampton

Position: General Insurance Service Team Member

While at Nationwide I worked in two different departments. Beginning in Mortgages where I acted as Junior Underwriter wherein I had to liaise with third parties such as solicitors, guarantors and borrowers before moving to the General Insurance Service Team dealing with claims and giving quotes for Insurance products over the telephone. I was also responsible for entering personal insurance data onto the computer system.

Qualifications:

* 7 GCSEs including English, Maths, History, Business Studies

* I am currently studying a Fnd Business course at Northampton University

* Full UK Driving Licence

Interests: I perform in a band with a good local following, playing regular concerts in venues

across the country, play football for a local team, I’m interested in health and fitness also

I am an avid Scuba diver.
