Quality Manager

Responsible for the overall quality efforts at two facilities as well as

continuing compliance of the Quality Management System with ISO/TS

16949:2009.

. Develop, improve, and maintain the Quality Management System in

accordance with the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2009 as well as

customer specific requirements.

Engineering / Product Development Manager

Responsible for the development of new products, capital projects, plant

engineering, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and ISO procedures.

. Oversaw initial prototype designs working closely with Marketing, Sales,

and the Sourcing department.

. Managed all phases of new product development which included R&D,

drafting, costing, BOM's, sourcing, and tooling.

. Developed and implemented procedures that shortened the product

development cycle by 4 months.

. Managed projects throughout the US, Mexico, and China as well as various

other countries with extensive travel throughout the US and Mexico.

. Responsible for the development of new tooling which included in-house,

local machine shops, and tooling in Mexico and China.

Corporate Quality Engineer

Manufacturer of steel tubing and tubular parts with 150 employees and $25

million in sales.

Quality Assurance

. Primary contact for customer concerns. Developed and implemented

corrective actions. Worked closely with clients such as Yamaha and John

Deere as well vendors to improve quality.

. Developed procedures for calculating and recording scrap which resulted

in 15% less.

United Chair Company- Birmingham, Al 1989-1998

Manufacturer of office furniture with 1200 employees and $85 million in

sales.

Project Manager

Responsible for the development and implementation of new products and

parts.

. Oversaw Government project which resulted in being awarded the contract.
