Senior SAP BPC NW Consultant (Recent work @ DRIV, NLSN, TTX Company, HGSI, HSY, PCP)

• Rolled off a BPC project in January 2014, now looking for the next one.

• Worked in several BPC Projects (NW and MS; versions 5.1 onwards to 10.0) which have involved

decision on selection of BPC as a product, implementation from blueprint design to configuration /

development to production and then support mode, transfer to employees.

• Prepare the documentation / workflows on the input template / data upload files and data

extraction of consolidation and planning requirements from different source systems.

• Configure the currency translation logic, maintain rate application(s), different Dimensions,

business rules, Models / Applications, Rounding functions for the reports, logic scripting experience

Senior Financial Systems Analyst, part of a team of business analysts supporting the SAP ERP

implementation and further expansion projects of the company. Specific job duties involve the following:

• Production support of BW SEM (BCS and BPS) for users around the world. This involved support

across ECC 6.0, FI-CO, BW several other modules, and backup role among a team of six employees.

• Acted as primary contact for issues in BW SEM for the organization from users. Approved access

levels for new and existing users in Production and QA environments. Create new requests for

enhancements, modifications and own them for development, testing, transport to production and

end user support.

• Work closely with the BI and environment teams to change configurations, create specifications.

• Use training systems to train new and existing users of BW, around existing and new functionality,

like running UPSPL, UCMON, BEx reports, uploading flat files in BPS or BCS.

• Use BPS transactions UPSPM and BPS0 to create / modify planning areas, layouts, levels,

packages, functions, sequences, copy data across versions, currency translations, local and global

parameters.

• Modify or create new layouts, variables, user exits, fox formula; as business needs changed or to get

desired results. This involved meeting users, conducting workshops, gathering requirements,

facilitation and designing of a solution.

• Prepare the groundwork for opening a planning cycle, create versions, data slices, operate locks,

copy / validate any actual data if needed, prepare any new or changed functionality, changes to

Hierarchies (Cost Center, Profit Center), support the planning cycle.

• Participate in new projects in the organization, geographical roll-out to Europe, additional modules

• Evaluate and recommend future options for resolving bottlenecks in the current system, including

the new BPC tools from SAP. Create and execute Test scripts in HP Quality Center, map business

processes and model the workflow on IBM Websphere tool.

Dial Corporation / Henkel of America Scottsdale, AZ Oct 2004 – July 2007

Senior Financial Systems Analyst, assisting the finance process manager in different tasks. Different tasks

performed included the following:

• Started with improvements in BW Query design and system performance improvements. Worked

with IT to seek query designs and modifications in production, rather than transport the same from

Development for all improvements.

• Worked on a different Financial Statement and Product Hierarchy to meet another completely

different financial statement (US-GAAP vs. IFRS); also based on a different Product Hierarchy.

• Assisted the organization with submission of Dial results to the parent (Henkel) in Germany, in a

BW, SEM BCS environment. This involved converting data from one SAP system based to

another:

• Examples included treatment of Bad Debts, misalignment of Product categories for Profitability

analysis, currency exchange related impacts, inventory level details.

• Provided reports from BCS system for Dial management, in both US Dollars and Euro, with ad hoc

reporting as needed. This also involved reconciliation reports from current system to how submitted

results detailing manipulations outside current SAP system. Used UCMON and BEx extensively.

• Participated in testing and upgrade of the German SEM system, ECC5.0 to BW 3.5, SEM 4.0

environment, as a functional user and tester of the system, before the global roll-out. This involved

requests and testing of new reports, BCS processes during period end closing and pointing out any

differences found.
