During my senior design project, my team and I were able to successfully

design and manufacture a wheelchair with the capability to go from a

sitting position to a standing position as well as the ability to

transverse in multiple directions using a unique type of wheels called

Mecanum wheels. The objective of the project was to help handicapped

individuals who were unable to use their legs, have the ability to perform

normal daily activities.

While attending West Boca High School, I became exposed to various

techniques and practices using a program called AutoCAD. The purpose of

this course was to give students the opportunity to perform various CAD-

related design projects and expose them to engineering drafting practices

that are used by professional engineers. The duties that I performed as an

assistant included the setup of all major computer equipment, providing

solutions to other students with their drawings, and providing technical

computer support with the teacher before and after school hours.
