The primary responsibility of the Complex Quality Assurance Manger is to

ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer requirement while

maintaining product safety and quality. The Quality Assurance Manager will

develop and manage Quality Assurance programs and activities that will

ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government

regulations, and industry best practices including GMP and HACCP.

. Oversee and ensure compliance with all quality programs including the

writing and reviewing of the HACCP plans, SOPs, and SSOP's

. Monitoring of production activities on a daily basis.

. Daily review of all documentation pertaining to product quality and

food safety to ensure that product is produced within specification

and that any corrections/restraining's needed are addressed.

. Coordinates the testing of raw materials.

. Coordinates the testing of finished product.

. Keeps and maintains a gold standard for all product formulas.

. Completes shelf life studies on all products to establish maximum

shelf life limits. Evaluates aged product for acceptability and issues

shelf life extension to the appropriate personnel.

. Checks schedule for issues such as allergens and gives direction for

quality or food safety issues.

. Coordinates daily product evaluations and investigates any

unacceptable findings.

. Establishes and creates specifications, check sheets and tolerances in

the Electronic Monitoring System (CDC) for all quality and food safety

attributes.

. Responsible for documentation and communication of QA Control Notices

and holds.

. Evaluates all products with quality concerns and recommends

disposition.

. Evaluates co-packed products until they are established and approved.

Informs co-packer of any issues or concerns and works with co-packer

to resolve matters.
