Analyst

As a Consultant for Caltrans, I was responsible for designing and leading

the development of a new Administrative database application system that

integrated the Construction, Maintenance, and Program Management

departments for district 11. I coordinated the various departments in a

cooperative effort of information sharing and process modifications that

was used to benefit these departments in their reporting information to

each other, and to Sacramento.

Installed, Configured and Maintained SQL Server 2008 R2 for use by various

departments. Developed proposal for IT in Sacramento on how the state can

improve information sharing with SharePoint Server. Developed Data

Governance program for District 11 as a model that could be adopted by

other districts in the state. Consultant/Advisor for Statewide mission

critical Financial Database Management Systems. Subject Matter Expert.

Coordinated and Delivered presentations to all levels of staff.

Other Development and Administrative duties included:

Development/Migration/Integration of Microsoft Access 2003 and 2007

database using VBA, SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2 Views, Stored Procedures,

Functions, Triggers, BI, Backup & Recovery Planning, Packages, Security,

Logins/Roles, Jobs, Indexing, Ad hoc Reporting in Crystal Reports and

advance SSRS, Tuning.

integration of GC3-MTS/Oracle databases with SQL Server 7.0 Security, DTS,

I was hired as a Consultant by the TurboTax program to redevelop the MS

Access InProgress database to create sample data from three main SQL Server

and Oracle databases across the country for use by the Customer Advocacy

group. Tasks included Requirements gathering, Cost benefit analysis and

Development in T/SQL and VBA.

After receiving many 1099 projects from previous employers, I opened

PacDBMS. I worked in many industries and designed and developed LAN

networks; MS Access Applications, Software projects in VB 6.0 that

utilized Windows API's, Group Policy Objects, Windows Registry, Creating

Windows Services, and ADSI for Windows 2003 server Developed various

timekeeping systems for a Naval Repair company, and a Research &

Development company.

Consultant: DBA / Database Design, Development Lead - (Secret Clearance )

Common Aviation Command and Control System program (CAC2S) - Portable

aviation command and control center for the Marine Corps. Companies and

divisions participating included: Raytheon, General Dynamics, Lockheed

Martin, Gallium, Kongsberg, Marine Corp., Camp Pendleton, MarCoSysCom

Quantico, VA and SPAWAR.

While on the CAC2S I was primarily responsible for the Development of a

secure Intranet collaboration environment for project personnel to design

and develop the new CAC2S System. Included, was a web-based Risk Management

application that I developed in SQL Server 7.0 and JavaScript. I was also

responsible for all Database Administration tasks. Made ADE Environment

presentations to scientific experts and high-level Marine Corp personnel

and defense industry management.

Landing Platform Deck program, (LPD 17-21) -- Next generation LPD project

for US Navy and Marine Corps. Also included the USS New York, which used

scrap metal from the World Trade Center in it's construction.

Program Lead for the National (PrIDE), Program Integrated Design

Environment database re-design in MS Access 97, and MS SQL Server 7.0

utilizing full life cycle development methodologies. PrIDE Database DBA,

Stored Procedures, Views, Tables, Security, Maintenance, Tuning, Backup and

Recovery. Program Lead for the (EDR), Engineering Deficiency Reporting

database used for quality assurance in tracking issues on the LPD program

and software.

1999 to 2000

Project Lead / Enterprise Application Developer

At Boeing, I was hired to develop a Database Application system to move

engineering schematic changes through the Engineering department in

Seattle, to the Parts Listing department, and finally to Illustration

departments in Southern California for the development and distribution of

Boeing Repair Manuals for all Boeing commercial aircraft models, the

Pentagon's E4B, and Air force One.

Integrated engineering application with AutoCAD to automatically produce

title block on the illustrations and assign diagrams to Illustrators

according to their aircraft team. Developed application that measured

productivity and performance metrics for parts listing and illustration

departments utilizing a comprehensive time scale per engineering matched

against timekeeping records.
