Safety and Health Specialist:

• Conducted various industrial hygiene surveys to include noise, light, ventilation, ergonomics, and various air sampling evaluations so as to quantify the exposure personnel were experiencing and then made recommendations based on findings to reduce the potential health hazards that could occur.

• Machine guarding evaluation and inventory.

• Inspected overhead crane and attachment point.

• Performed pre-work inspections and authorized Hot Work Permits.

• Evaluated hazards associated with confined space entry and issued the Confined Space Entry Permits.

• Developed Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures for each machine in the plant by identifying the energy sources and annual reviews of the LOTO procedures.

• Responded to chemical spills and false alarm calls, and conducted semi-annual fire drills to critique an emergency evaluation plan.

• Conducted daily inspections in production areas and developed corrective action plans to abate potential hazards.

• Evaluated flammable liquid storage areas and generated associated report.

• Evaluated combustible dust storage area and collected dust samples, and completed chain of custody paperwork.
