Description:The main aim of the project is porting the ISDB T based Mobile TV solution onto Android.

Porting the stack to android platform and the development of the framework. The ISDB T stack which

is being ported was developed for proprietary platform by us.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for understanding the Dtv UI Flow on Android

• Involved in the porting of the middleware stack

• Developed framework, integrated and tested the stack

Project#4:Enhancement of ISDB T based solution for Mobile TV; Duration: 5months; Description:This

project is the enhancement of the mobile TV stack for ISDB T. The main responsibility of the stack is

to render NCL data. Third party software is replaced by in house solution. Middleware includes

modules viz., DSMCC parser, Private Base Manager, and NCL formatter.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully designed and developed DSMCC Parser module

• Prepared VC based simulator setup for easy debugging and testing

• Responsible for integration and testing of the stack

Project#5:Extension of ISDB T based solution for Mobile TV; Duration: 1 Year; Description:This project

is the extension of the mobile TV stacks for ISDB T. The Major goal of the project is to provide a single

point solution for mobile TV. The stack supports a variety of codecs, and is able to port onto multiple

platforms. Third party decoders, A/V Sync modules were replaced by an in house solution.

Middleware contains various modules viz., Controller Module, Track Handler, Decoder Interface and

A/V Sync modules.

Responsibilities:

• Designed and developed Track Handler, Decoder Interface and A/V Sync modules

• Efficiently prepared simulator [VC based] environment which helped in easy debugging and testing of the stack

• Instrumental in the integration and testing of the stack

Project#6: Development of ISDB T based solution for Mobile TV; Duration: 1 year 5 months;

Description:Developed DTV middleware stack for ISDB T based mobile handsets. Replaced third party

chipset [hardware support for DTV] with software based solution. Main features include Live TV, Local

Playback and Recording. The stack also supports Frame Capture, Time shifting, Chance Recording

and Recording to Phone memory. Middleware contains various modules viz., Mpeg2TS Parser, Tuner

Interface, Local Playback and Recorder Module. QTV stack is used for decoding and rendering the

audio and video data.

Responsibilities:

Project#1:DVB T Set top box application and middleware development; Duration: 9 months;

Description:Involves the development of application and middleware for a new SOC, developed for

terrestrial set top box devices. Main features include Live TV and EPG. Middleware contains various

modules viz., Tuner Manager, Table Manager, Channel Scan Manager, EPG manager and controlling

module. And application deals with GUI and features like navigating program guide and setting

program remainder etc.

Responsibilities:

• Designed and developed Tuner manager and Channel Scan Manager

• Designed and tested Tune State Machine and Table Manager

• Integrated and tested middleware

Project#2: DTV Test Harness; Duration: 4 Months; Description:This project involves the development

of test suites for DTV middleware. Middleware was developed by the leading DTV Company. The main

aim of the project is to develop the framework, which provides an interface to test all the APIs and

testing the upper and lower middle layers of the DTV software on the provided hardware. The test

cases deal with all the possible success/failures that may encounter in real time operation such as

synchronous and asynchronous requests etc.

Responsibilities:

• Acted as Module Leader for APK, FLS and CMN modules

• Developed test suite for the modules APK and FLS

• Prepared project reports

Project#3:IP Set top box; Duration: 5 Months; Description:An IP set top box is a dedicated computing

device that serves as an interface between a television set and a broadband network. In addition to

decoding and rendering broadcast TV signals, an IP set top box can provide functionality that

includes Video on Demand (VOD) and a variety of interactive and multimedia services. IP set top

boxes can support in demand features such as Web browsing, e mail and viewing email attachments.

Project#4:PFC test suite Enhancement; Duration: 6 Months; Description:Developed the test suite for

PFC. PFC is the middleware developed by Pioneer. This is mainly used in Blue ray disk and Plasma

TV. The main aim of the project is to validate the APIs developed by Pioneer. Developed the test cases

for all the APIs to ensure they are working properly. The test cases deal with all the possible

success/failures that may encounter in real time operation; Responsibilities:Developed test suite for

Event Manager, XML, Table Manager and Cable Card Manager modules

Project#5:PFC test suite Development; Duration: 1 Month; Description:Originated the doxygen
