Responsible for marketing/re branding to transition company from start up to

Led legal and tech teams in successful defense of trademark infringement in

ELLE, ELLE DÉCOR, Road & Track, Car and Driver and Cycle World.

Designed and drove organization wide change management initiative to facilitate a

smooth transition for sale of company to Hearst Corporation.

Created highly successful company wide social network with goals to increase

collaboration across titles and functions.

Led collaboration with Alcatel Lucent, L’Oreal and other partners to develop and

launch ELLE’s cross platform wireless shopping solution at CES in 2011.

Worked with team to launch mobile app for iPhone and Android that allows

consumers an easy way to shoot, edit and share video.

Led brand building for New York City based mobile advertising and ad platform

Hired to build an international Analyst Relations function for KPMG Consulting

Wide ranging program served to highlight consulting group’s expertise and

unique market strengths in preparation for the firm's successful IPO.

March, 1991 – May, 1997

Director, Global Corporate Communications, Gartner, Inc.

Built and drove the internal/external communications function for IT research

powerhouse. Programs were pivotal and helped to position the company as the

worldwide brand leader in technology research.

Launched high visibility PR programs around the world to promote the Gartner

research brand and to grow the Symposia event series into $120MM business.

Built and served as editor of a global internal news magazine for Gartner’s 30

locations around the world (100% Skunkworks). This and other internal

communications efforts succeeding in fulfilling CEO vision for “staying small

while growing large.”
