NASTRAN development team to add new nonlinear stress analysis

capabilities into NASTRAN Interface.

. Dealt with Super Elements including persistent database entity, database

API, GUI design and QA requrements with a core design generic enough to

be used with all finite element solvers.

WORK HISTORY:

l-3Com, Greenville, TX Jan, 2013 - Present

Contract Stress Engineer

Checking structural integrity of Bombardier's Q400 aircraft modification

for special missions using FEM tools and classical hand calculations.

Developed tools using VBA, PCL and C++ to automate the structural analysis

process.

Boeing, Everett, WA May, 2011 - Jan,

2013

Contract Stress Engineer

Worked on 787-9 structural loads generation from the aero loads for input

into the FEM models of the Fixed Leading Edge (FLE) and the Moveable

Leading Edge (MLE). Generated Interface Loads from the FEM Analysis to be

used as input to the other structures of the airplane. Generated Internal

Loads from the FEM Analysis to assess the structural integrity of metallic

and composite parts using Boeing Design Methods and hand calculations.

Spirit Aero, Tulsa, OK May, 2006 - May, 2011

Contract Stress Engineer

Worked on 787-8 and 787-9 structural integrity for FLE(Fixed Leading Edge)

and MLE (Movable Leading Edge) Skins(Carbon Fiber Laminates),

Ribs(Aluminum) and Fasteners(Titanium) using PATRAN and NASTRAN. Used Catia

and Enovia to access parts and components and data. Used ECAP, GK-Joint,

CSW tools and Boeing Design Methods to do strength checks.

L3-Communications, Greenville, TX April, 2005 - March,

2006

Contract Stress Engineer

Performed margins checks on the modified structure of a DC-10. Used PATRAN

to create FEM model of the structure and NASTRAN to extract the interface

loads at the critical locations. Used classical Hand calculations for

buckling and crippling of frames, shear ties, stringers and skins using

bending moments and shear loads at the interfaces. Developed a procedure in

Excel using Macros and VBA subroutines to automate the calculations of

loads, stresses, buckling/crippling allowables and safety margins.

Lockheed Martin, Ft Worth, TX February, 2004 -

March, 2005

Contract Stress Engineer

Worked on the JSF program with designers to validate structural integrity

of aircraft components in Wing, Wing Carry Through and Forward Fuselage

bays. Performed stress and vibration analysis using Classical Hand

Calculations and FEM tools like NASTRAN, ABAQUS, and PATRAN. Used CATIA to

access the components drawings and VAS to visualize the assembly. Used PDM

to store and retrieve data files. Used Excel Spreadsheets to present

analysis data and write reports.

Raytheon, El Segundo, CA March, 2003 -

January, 2004
