Application Development:
Design and develop user friendly visual studio 2008, 2010 ASP.net applications using VB.net in an
intranet environment to maintain SQL server databases.
ASPX.net Dispatch application
Bottom to top develop logistics application using the VB.net language. Designed in conjunction
with the user community, and created multiple intranet web pages utilizing data grids that allow
users to select multiple rows dependent upon selections made in both bound and unbound drop
down list selections. The application employs the use of query string to pass parameters to other
pages allowing the user the freedom from having to reselect the desired record. The application
utilizes both inline styles as well as CSS. HTML layout is accomplished using table tags, div tags
and HTML element attributes. HTML events Processing is handled via X.aspx.vb.net. The VB.net
application calculates truck driver pay based on the load assigned to the truck. The system contains
embedded SSRS reports which relieves the user from having to continually switch to reporting
server to view and print the loading document. Once the delivery is approved by the user, and all
validation is passed then a print class that is imported from the master page. The application uses
data from MS Dynamics and inserts edits and deletes records in the “Dispatch” SQL Server
2008R2 database that I developed and published to a Microsoft IIS Web Server that I set up.
ASPX.net Production Entry application
Bottom to top development Production Entry. Designed in conjunction with the user community,
and created multiple intranet web pages. This ASP.net data rich application is written in the vb.net
language and employs the web server and Microsoft IIS to provide manufacturing users the ability
to enter every stage of the brick making process. The production home page contains multiple data
grids that gives supervisors an overall view based upon the plant and week. Plant location is
selectable but defaults based on the users ip address to the appropriate plant. Users enter “Making”
data via a web page that uses form views. Form view data is validated and written to the
“Production” SQL Server 2008R2 database that I developed. The next stage is “Burning”. Only
made Items are allowed to be selected on the form for burning. There are informational data grids
on the page displaying to the user making and burning activity. “Unloading” activity is dependent
upon burning activity. The application calculates available and remaining quantities in real time
from both burning and unloading records and is used to validate user entry. The application utilizes
both inline styles as well as CSS. HTML layout is accomplished using table tags, div tags and
HTML element attributes. HTML events Processing is handled via X.aspx.vb.net.
SQL Server:

Use Visual Studio 2008 to create, deploy and maintain SSRS reports.
Develop complex parameterized reports for summary data employing drill down features to details.
Utilize functions to control the display of labels. Data sources include MS Dynamics, Data
Warehouse, Dispatch and Production data bases. Manufacturing Dashboard consisting of multiple
grids with drill down to detail data. Imbedded SSRS reports onto aspx web pages to provide user
convenience.
SQL Server Integration Services
Utilize integration techniques calling upon SSIS, Stored Procedure, and direct record insertion.
Develop and sustain SQL Server Maintenance Plans. Provide on demand Adhoc query for users.
Create and maintain Reporting Services reports for the user community.
Network Operations:
Responsible for daily network operations. Plan, create, monitor, and maintain a single domain
Windows Server forest. Develop and manage Group Policy Objects. Programmatically and
manually create, populate, and maintain Active Directory Organizational Units and user properties.
Backup user data and image primary servers.
ERP:
Infrastructure implementation for Microsoft Dynamics. Import existing data from legacy system to
SQL Server through application development and SSIS. Perform administrative tasks within
Dynamics.
