Director of Project Management - managed a $1 billion dollar (IP) Internet
Protocol conversion project for the merger of two major financial
institutions - Bank of New York & Mellon Bank.
. Oversaw and facilitated all aspects of migrating existing network of
Mellon Bank to meld and function as ONENET (one network). This covered
two thirds of the overall project. Oversaw, managed, and coordinated
deployment projects from conception to implementation.
. Managed more than 60 network professionals per phase of a three phase
project resulting in more than 300 facilities in the US and abroad;
and more than 20,000 (IP) Internet Protocol conversions.
. Responsible for the success of projects that consisted of thousands of
device conversions with no recorded outages or issues. Under my
leadership this project was targeted for completion in four years;
Completed it under budget and a year ahead of schedule. Managed the
rollout of more than 8,000 IDF/MDF devices, new vlans, IP phones and
access points.
. Provided in depth product knowledge training after every modification,
installation and upgrade associated with this project. Personally
provided proprietary training on proprietary financial software that
was added in the eleventh hour of this project. Covered more than
three hundred locations around the world over a three year time span.

Managing Director of MetLife Help desk
2800 seat helpdesk for the Met Life account in New Jersey. Ensured
departments met and surpassed all expectations in the areas of task
ticketing, customer service level agreements, remedy solutions and end user
experience.
. Wrote standard operation procedures and implemented processes that
would assist in the overall operations of the business.
. Responsible to ensure that commitments are met, budgets maintained,
quality service provided, and deliverables produced.
. Manage and maintain the client relationship, desk support in a call
center environment, with the team supporting various software
applications and hardware systems for department users.
. Trained all new hires on MetLife designed proprietary helpdesk
software; this software was designed to enhance the human resource
experience as well as provide end-users with a more personal touch to
insure smooth processes. Provided a "Lunch N Learn" environment, where
the customer can engage in an interactive session to develop skills
and product training and have questions answered. Trained fifteen
hundred persons during this two year period.

Director/Project Manager, State Farm and Alfred Dunner Sr. Trainer
Coordinated the South Eastern Region Network upgrade through intermediate
contracting for the State Farm insurance organization.
. Project managed over 33 network rollouts and 2000 pc upgrades and
rollouts from windows 2000 to Windows XP. Simultaneously supervised a
team of three to four system analyst upgrade backbone infrastructure
and pc environment.
. Project managed a 42 access point wireless upgrade to include: Cisco
call manager, unity call center, gateway with ata devices, 86 ip
phones, and 75 Cisco phones. This upgrade included "clean power"
installation, Cisco 7500 series switch with dual supervisors and gbic
uplinks, ASA firewall, new Cisco router and Cisco 2 video conferencing
phones for upper management.
. Implemented new HP Blade center with 8 servers and remote I/O
management. Hired Telco Company to install all new cat six cabling and
fiber backbone; Coordinated installations
. Training - Provided training 12 weeks of training for key personnel,
bidding, and vendor management. Wrote personnel evaluations. Increased
productivity in merchandising, bandwidth availability saving the
company millions. Provided in-house training for all new personnel on
the operation of legacy proprietary mainframe equipment.

. Specifically managed, directed, planned and coordinated all aspects of
ISD's program activities, and responsible for providing Information
Technology (IT) security requirements and research on cost-effective
solutions.
. Implement Presidential Directives related to security issues and
oversee the development of corrective action plans associated with
weaknesses disclosed as a result of a network audit.
. Assembled proprietary software to communicate with legacy WANG
terminals
. Training: Wrote the standard operating procedures and trained forty
personnel on the nuances of the gateway protocol and software that
would be required in order to maintain excellent throughput and
connectivity until formal training at a local school is provided.

Delegated projects, day-to-day responsibilities and requirements to the
proper personnel, and applied project management abilities to ensure
completion of project time lines and budget.
. Provided formal personnel counseling and quarterly/annual evaluations
of employees as required; managed the unit's budget and projections
for IT Department for the fiscal year; developed databases for various
companies, e.g., the Fulton County, Georgia Courthouse; provided a
Windows NT Active Directory back-end running a SQL database with
Microsoft Access on the front-end to provide easy data extraction
required to do their jobs more efficiently.

Implemented and maintained the networking infrastructure for the Georgia
Department of State contractually through Vital Network Services.
. Maintained high level of customer support and network knowledge;
learned on-the-fly to resolve network issues; and quickly learned new
product; installed and configured various proprietary modems and
CSUs/DSUs, including: IBM 520/540 IFP (intelligent front panel);
