IMPORTANT APPOINTMENTS (ARMY)

1. Deputy Director General Equipment Management, Master General Ordnance

Branch Army HQ

(a) Overseeing procurement, provisioning and maintenance of all types

of vehicles, armament and ammunition for the Army.

(b) Laying down qualitative requirements for procurement and product

improvement of extreme cold weather special clothing items for

troops in deployed in the Siachen Glacier.

(c) Close interaction with Ordnance Factory Board, Defence and

Research and Development Organization, Defense PSU's - BEL, BDL,

ECIL etc for stipulating qualitative requirement and product

improvement and ensuring timely availability of all types of

equipment and ammunition in the Army.

(d) Close interaction and coordination with senior level government

officials at Ministry of Defence for finalizing procurement and

equipment management related cases.

(e) Coordinate budgetary facets for financial expenditure towards

revenue procurements for Rs 3000/- crores.

(f) Conducted and Attended Senior Level Conferences at Army HQ.

(g) Ensured Storage, Safety and Security of all types of munitions

held in the Army.

2. Brigadier General Staff - School of Artillery, Devlali.

(a) Planning and organization of training courses at Category A

Establishment of Army for 800 Officers and 900 PBOR of the

Artillery.

(b) Enhancement of IT Training and networking of over 300 computers.

(c) Development of Adventure and Sports facilities.

(d) Organization of Conferences, Seminars and Fire Power

Demonstrations.

(e) Training of International Forces (Singapore Army) and conduct of

joint training.

(f) As Chairman Army School, Devlali having over 2200 stuents ensured

improvement of the School standards such that it was declared as

one of the best schools at all India level.

(g) Handling of funds allocated for training, IT, sports

infrastructure and Adventure sports (Rs 5-6 crores).

(h) Interacted with Pune University for awarding post graduate,

graduate degrees and diplomas to all personnel qualifying on Long

Gunnery Staff Course from the School of Artillery.

3. Colonel General Staff Media and Public Relations (in the Kashmir

Valley).

(a) As Army spokesperson closely interacted with all types of

Electronic and Print Media (National TV channels -Aaj Tak, NDTV etc

Print media viz TOI, HT, Indian Express and International media

BBC, VOA etc) in the terrorist threatened and strife torn Kashmir

Valley with a view to ameliorate and assuage locals lynched by the

terrorists and firings from across the LOC in 2003. Such Media

initiative through vernacular press and local media enabled

establishment of ceasefire between India and Pakistan; holding out

till date.

(b) Wrote, edited and published a number of articles as part of

Public Information Team of Army in the Kashmir Valley.

(c) Organizing and coordinating 'Sadbhavana' and Border Area

Development Programmes with a view to attend to the needs of locals

residing in border and inaccessible areas in terms of healthcare

and improvement of infrastructural development.

4. Composite Artillery Brigade Commander

(a) Developed concept of Surveillance and Degradation by Fire Power to

degrade the war making machinery of the adversary and to ensure

successful execution of own plans and operations.

(b) Conceptualization and utilization of state of art Surveillance

Systems, Fire Power Means and Communications with all equipments

and over 2000 soldiers.

(c) Handling and maintenance of the state of art unmanned aerial

vehicles(UAV), battlefield surveillance radar(BFSR), multiple

launched rocket system(MLRS), all types of guns, weapon systems

and ammunitions held in the Artillery costing over a few thousand

crores.

5. Command of Medium Regiment

(a) Leading 700 men and exploiting fire power of all Artillery Guns

and ensuring enhanced battle readiness to undertake operations at

short notice which was put to successful test during operation

'Parakram'.

(b) Enhancing motivational levels in all ranks through applied HRM

techniques, family welfare and also ensured well being of their

children.

IMPORTANT TRAINING COURSES ATTENDED IN THE ARMY:

1. Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and obtained 'A' Grade.

2. Long Gunnery Staff Course at School of Artillery.

3. Junior and Senior Leadership and Management Courses at Army War

College, Mhow.

4. Defence Technology Scientific Orientation Course.

5. Young Officers and Leadership Courses viz Commando's, PT, Transport

and Communication Management.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

1. Taught 'Communications' to students of Management at Nagpur University

2000- 01.

2. Member of selection committee on Combined Entrance Test (CET) for

Management in Maharashtra.

3. Taught at the Tactics and Doctrines Wing at School of Artillery.
