Responsible for welding, aircraft, military components, & spacecraft that must be join together using “gas tungsten arc welding” with very little tolerance . All parts must be according to engineers’ specifications. Most parts have to be 100% fully penetrated and ex-rayed inspection and dye pen after welding, all welding have to be perfect. Welders must weld on materials 0.21-.500 thickness also must pass D17.1 on aluminum, stainless steel & Inco & do their own fitting using height gages, calipers and special measuring devices for each part also use different welding fixtures for each job as required.
