Led & Managed all aspects of the AV Team, AV Infrastructure and

Telemedicine. Architected & Implemented all aspects of of audio video

including the video conference infrastructure, enterprise recording and

lecture capture, digital signage infrastructure, conference rooms and

meeting spaces, operating rooms, waiting areas and atriums. Coordinated

human and technical resources for events such as video conferenced live

surgeries, board meetings, and telemedicine doctor to patient encounters.

Supported and Managed all aspects of daily operations including user

support, systems troubleshooting, testing, end user training, technical

staff training and documentation. Established system-wide AV standards

creating a consistent user experience without relearning new technologies.

Created innovative interfaces for Telemedicine and meeting spaces providing

an intuitive easy to use experience.

Key Audio Video Infrastructure Accomplishments

. Pioneered UC Irvine Health's system-wide video conferencing

infrastructure utilizing Polycom CMA Telepresence platform laying the

foundation for next generation video communications and expanded its use

and adoption throughout the institution.

. Provided comprehensive AV needs for the four story Gavin Herbert Eye

Institute building including operating room AV control, switching,

recording, and streaming using Image Stream Medical's technology,

patient education displays using BrightSign Digital Signage, music

distribution in public areas, cable TV for staff lounges, state of the

art multipurpose conference center with integrated whole room touch

screen control.

. Supported and managed over 59 conference rooms, auditoriums, classrooms,

and operating rooms.

. Planned the deployment of enterprise recording and lecture capture using

MediaSite from Sonic Foundry to be used for Continuing Medical Education

(CME).

. Designed a state of the art smart conference table and smart podium

which subsequently became the university standard and was deployed

throughout the institutions meeting spaces and conference rooms.

. Reinvented the Telemedicine Mobile Cart creating an affordable yet fully

functional Telemedicine cart in a clean and efficient design. This cart

was so innovative compared to previous designs that it was featured by

Telemedicine.com in the American Telemedicine Association Annual

Conference and Trade Show.

. Oversaw and managed the deployment of a $1.5 million Telemedicine

Initiative to enable rural clinics throughout California with the

Telemedicine Cart that I designed.

. Successfully piloted and launched tablet-based Telemedicine In The Home

for clinicians to follow up patient consults from their home. This

proved to be so useful that this was expanded to over 20 devices for the

Senior Health Center.

. Designed and project managed the implementation of 2 Opthalmology

Integrated Operating Rooms.

. Implemented Ambulance Telemedicine for transport of Neonatal ICU

patients.

. Piloted TeleNeurology & TeleStroke for the Emergency Room.
