Admit newborns from labor ward for nursery routine care.

Accompany Pediatricians on their rounds and carry out orders as directed.

Collect informed consent from the parents for circumcision, get babies prepped and assist

the surgeon in the circumcision room.

Post circumcision care and discharge of well babies.

Take blood samples as per ordered test and send to the laboratory,

follow up results.

Do rounds in mothers’ rooms and assist them breastfeed.

Coordinate newborn sampling for metabolic disorders and courier the samples as per

arrangement.

Kardex writing, napkin changes, feeds as well as baths of newborns.

Render nursing care to babies under phototherapy.

All ward administration inclusive of ward coverage, annual reports, disciplinary action,

supplies and repairs, record keeping, etc.
