Super First Class aircraft seating, Tucson, AZ;

Design of seating products for Boeing 777 aircraft. Complex surfaces to meet customer approval.

Working with plastics, honeycomb and aluminum parts. Currently working on Advanced Lavatories for the 737’s.

Completed plastic trim assemblies for 3 lavatories in the 737 and now working on other interior plastics parts. Working

Senior Design Engineer - Navistar ProStar interior cabinet program – SolidWorks 2010 2/11 – 8/11

Created models for new cabinet concepts per customer requirements. Created assembly linked surfaces with key features

that are common or the same in the other parts. Complex freeform models to accommodate customer requirements.

Created studies to facilitate clearance of truck interior and structure.

NX Modeler – Military Body Systems Engineering, Cab-In-White Dept. - NX6 and Teamcenter 2005 4/08 – 1/11

Navistar; Ft. Wayne, IN

Lead door design for the low cab forward program. Packaging for the military vehicle programs, one involves designing a

9 man cab using 2 current 4 man travel cabs. This is done by creating new structure to stretch the cab and accommodate

2 new bench seats and redesign roof to hold ladder and storage box for military gear. I worked with stress engineers who

perform FEA analysis of my multiple designs for the Canadian 9 man truck. Ordered parts for testing using different

computer systems. New armor kits for MRAP vehicles.

Design Drafter – Space and Defense Group – NX4 and Teamcenter V9 11/07 – 4/08

Moog, East Aurora, NY

Documented control electronics for launch abort system on the Orion project. Received DXF files from PCB routing

designers, then created complete drawing package from board routing to interface drawings. Worked with test equipment

engineers to create and document electronic enclosures and cable assemblies.

Senior CAD Engineer – A-10 wing replacement program – NX4 and Teamcenter 2005 SR1 6/07 - 11/07

ISA; Hill Air Force Base, UT

Checked files received from vendors to ensure that they are being modeled correctly. Things checked for where;

parametric design, proper layers, mating conditions, and attributes in the file. Wrote training guidelines and mentored NX

users. Also received training in NX Electrical/Mechanical Routing module. I worked with Government Engineers by using

my liaison (MRB) experience to help them resolve production issues.

Created models and drawings of PSU components. This was a short assignment with a lot of overtime to meet the short

schedule deadlines.

Design and development sheet metal parts for avionic boxes. Created chassis models for the IPS-6000SA Situational

Awareness Cabinet. Used electro/mechanical standards. Designed backboards to accommodate PC board designers in

their space requirements.

Design Engineer – Aircraft commercial business seating – NX2 and Teamcenter V8 2/05 – 3/06

BE Aerospace; Winston-Salem, NC

Parametric design of the Minipod business seat using sketcher to link dimensions to mating components. Created layout

files and installation drawings of wire harnesses for the Qatar and Emirate programs. These were for wide body

commercial Boeing and Airbus jets.

Design Engineer – JSF, F135 Lift fan Vane Box – UG 18 and iMAN/Teamcenter 7 and ASME Y14.5M 1994 6/03 – 1/05

Completed layouts of wire harnesses for the Vane Box, also modeled a complete compressor case of the V2500 engine.

While there I worked with Rolls engineers to develop drawings for production.

Resolved open variation documents pertaining to the Lear 45 model. Assisted the department manager by documenting

the variations using Windows 98 Spreadsheet and tracking and assigning work to the design Engineers within the group.

Modeled Lear 60 airframe structures.

Textron Systems; Wilmington, Massachusetts

Taught and mentored Unigraphics and coordinated usage between different departments, and then determined the best

software package. Met with UGS to give them my CAD requirements. Packaged the best software to use at this facility.

Wrote a web page for the users to help them with UG, using Frontpage98. Developed a 5-day course to help the

designers at Textron create CAD files that will conform to the company's standards and facilitate faster to market

products. I taught, mentored, and developed classes of Unigraphics to new and competent users. Courses taught where;

Basic UG, Simplifying Models, Advanced Assemblies, Mating, Sketcher and Geometry Linker. Worked with Prescient

Design QA, this is a checking program used to help determine if the files meet company standards before being released.

Research Analyst - Engineering, Process and Development Dept. - V14 & V15 2/99 -

Developed 3D point data into various hood models that were originally created in 2D. Created layouts of different areas

of the trucks to help evaluate ways of easing production. Completed classes and use of Pharos and DCP. Main area of

research was solving production problems of assembly of the transmission and engine.

Designed and detailed mechanical structures for electronic components and all cable routing in 3D-model space. This

was for the current Greyhound bus. Also worked in the structural group and developed the baggage door layout using

kinematics.

Senior Design - Midsize Car Division - V10 thru V12 9/95 -

General Motors Tech Center, Warren, Michigan

Assembled part files transferred from different systems, IE: C.G.S. to check for clearances of parts in the power train for

the 'W' car models (Buick Regal, Pontiac Grand AM and Chevrolet Lumina) and the 'Y' car (Corvette). Modeled the frame

using "Body in White". This department is known as Vehicle Architecture.

Instructor - Engineering North, taught Unigraphics V11 to designers from Germany's GM Opel facility.

Completed a 5-week course at the Knowledge center "train the trainer" the class I was suppose to teach was cancelled

So I did not receive my teaching certification.

Created the console for Navistar “International” next generation semi truck, helped develop the magnesium seat frame.

Worked on other various projects to include; seat foam, door side panels and plastic overhead cove components.

Responsible for all changes and documents involving the 1994 Genesis Forward Control School Bus. Areas included

Low profile dash, frame rails, circuit diagram book, World transmission, Jacobs brake installation, and all sheet metal

Design work of the driver's platform.

Worked with engineers on nozzle development of the F119 engine. Worked with a solid model to

develop a flat pattern, using the sheet metal program module.

Responsible for design and detail of sheet metal parts to support the engine exhaust and the

avionics compartment for the MDX Twin Helicopter (Explorer).
