Client: JPMorganChase, Chicago, IL
This project was to support the conversion of customer pricing from the existing Treasury
Services International billing system to CAP9.0. It also supports price modeling for other billing
initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• To download data from flat files and convert to sas datasets.
• Document data elements and files and track down reference tables where necessary.
• Perform data transforms and joins to create necessary data views.
• Maintained and enhanced pricing models according to business needs. (Price models
were mathematical models.)
• Adapt existing SAS code and create new code for price modeling in accordance with the
conversion requirements.
• Created new programs and modified existing programs according to business needs.
• Created new programs by extracting macros from existing programs and combining
together into new routines.
• Created CSV data files to be used for data import routines.
• Performed integrity checks.
• Validated the pricing models. Created new variables according to business requirements.
• Validated the output.

Client: Cisco Systems, San Jose, CA Apr07-Oct08
SAS Programmer
The project included extraction of large bookings datasets from Oracle databases and automation
of a forecast model developed by the analytical forecast practitioners at Cisco Systems. It also
involved creating data flow charts, documentation, extensive testing of the newly developed
forecast model. The project also included running monthly and weekly jobs like extraction, pid
analysis and running the forecast model to generate forecasts of Cisco bookings.
Responsibilities:
• Extracted data from Oracle databases using Proc SQL and SAS/ACCESS on Windows
platform.
• Defined and documented business processes and work flow diagrams using MS Visio
and Microsoft word.
• Automated user defined dates and moving windows used as smoothing parameters within
a forecast model.
• Worked on efficiency of the codes of forecast models.
• Worked closely with users and forecast practitioners to develop applications and reports
as per requirements.
• Used SAS system macros for error handling, code validation, date stamping of log files,
collect files to a given directory and scheduling.
• Supported the development of forecast models.
• Used proc arima, proc expand, proc forecast and exponential garch models to forecast
CISCO products.
• Used sales data of CISCO to forecast future sales of CISCO products.
• Used SAS/BI to do reporting, query and analysis.

The project included analysis and modeling of large logistic networks. It involved working with
Computer engineers to provide data mining techniques to analyze and explore large datasets
collected from simulation runs of models built using Arena/HIT (model building simulative
software). Mathematical models were built of real life problems using Process Chain notations.
The main responsibilities were problem formulation, identifying the short and long term
objectives of the model, decision variables and control parameters, data collection from
simulative runs, validation and tracking of performance metrics, visual representation of results,
testing, analysis and interpretation of results. It involved using and developing various
exploratory data analysis techniques to get a better insight of the dataset
