Senior Mud Logger

Monitor offshore (Gulf of Mexico) deep water wells during all rig operations using various parameters,including gas, weight on hook, rate of penetration, gamma ray, and resistivity. Collect, analyze, prepare and ship all cutting samples to the client. Maintain all sensors and equipment used in all daily operations.

Prepare and print gas, drilling, and engineering logs using GeoNext4 software. Responsible for the monitoring of the trip tanks while pulling out of hole and running in hole. Responsible to the Well Site Geologist for the master log consisting of the lithology of the well. Calculate lag time and lag strokes by writing out the well profile. Currently working on the ENSCO 8503 Semi-submersible rig.

• Inducted new employees on the way to stay safe on an offshore oil rig.
