Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing this letter to apply for the position of Associate I, Quality Control. The

position was introduced by a friend of mine, Jonathan Forrest Knight. I am confident that

I possess the requisite qualifications to be an asset to Biogen Idec. I am familiar with

your company and would be very excited to have an opportunity to help you maintain the

highest quality standards.

I received an Associate of Science degree from Wake Tech Community College followed

by my Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University in

2012. While putting myself through school, I became one of the key associates in the

NCSU department of biochemistry doing graduate level protein chemistry research. That

led me to Oak Ridge National Labs. I specialized in protein crystallography and have

several years of experience working in environments that require high levels of quality

control.

After my graduation, I began working for Hospira, a pharmaceutical company in Rocky

Mount, as a Compliance Remediation Specialist. In this position I gained further

experience in GMP procedures as well as remediation techniques and technology transfer

protocols. I am currently responsible for technology transfer protocols that allow me to

be submerged in every aspect of the manufacturing process and quality control for our

products.

I will definitely be a resourceful employee if given a chance. Feel free to contact me if

you need more information or to arrange an interview. Thank you for considering my

application.
