Summary
Currently looking for a position with a growing company where I could utilize my skills to lead/build a team of
individuals and help drive them to attain results for the company. I am a former IT Team Lead for sears
Holdings where I managed two teams: Hardware Inventory Team & Desktop Deployment Team.
As a manager for the hardware inventory team we were responsible for ensuring all hardware assets are
accurately tracked in our asset inventory system while also performing quarterly audits to help avoid shrinkage.
We were also responsible for the proper liquidation of old IT devices that were no longer deemed deployable.
Other responsibilities included working with HR & Legal to retrieve assets from termed employees that were on
legal hold. We processed those asset through a chain of custody process until they arrived in the hardware
inventory location where we would them extract the data from the system and transfer it to an external drive
where it was them handed off to Legal.
In addition to the hardware team, my role included managing the Desktop Deployment team. It involved leading
a team of five techs where we were responsible for delivering a "WOW" experience to all new hires which
including attending their orientation and spending a half hour educating them on how to utilize different aspects
of their new laptop. From logging into Windows and utilizing VPN, to managing personal files in Outlook and
showing them how to map printers and network drives, we left them with all the information they needed to hit
the ground running. Other responsibilities included the building and deploying of desktops/laptops across the
entire non-retail organization of over 6000 associates. This entailed systems for new hires as well as system
swaps or upgrades - most of which involved the installation of previously used software and data back-up &
restoration.

"Tim was one of my "indirect" managers when I was working for Sears Holdings. We worked together on a
daily basis. In that time, Tim proved to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He always had an efficient
strategy lined up to make our work go smoothly and was excellent in communicating his ideas to the rest of
the team. I learned from him even when he wasn't "training" me. The employees that he managed all liked
and respected Tim very much--which made them work that much harder for him. He is quite skilled when it
comes to Windows and Macintosh issues and I turned to Tim many a time for solutions to complex
problems--on the rare occasion that he did not have a ready solution for an issue he would quickly find that
solution for me. Tim is a very gifted individual when it comes to breaking a very complex task down into
manageable pieces and then performing the work while delegating a large portion of it to himself. He was the
driving force behind much of Sears' work on a major task that involved migrating the entire company from
older versions of Windows to Windows 7. This was no small feat considering the sheer number of machines
involved. It was in very large part Tim's responsibility to ensure that this project stayed on target. Tim was
one of the best managers that I've ever had the privilege of working with...period. Any company that utilizes
his skills is guaranteed to thrive with him as an employee, I tend to never write recommendations for
anyone--however, Tim's skills and the training he provided me proved him to be a worthy candidate for my
endorsement. I am grateful for the skills and experience that passed on to me in the time that I was fortunate
enough to work with him."
