Business User (OSS/BSS). For issues in various services of TCL the

user raises the Trouble Tickets. These tickets raised by two systems.

BMC Remedy and Oracle Teleservices(OTS Oracle E-Business Suite

11.5.10.2). There is data flow between these two systems. Any issues

in raising the tickets, tickets updation,system configuration

requests are taken up by the Level 2 team and resolve the same and

providing the RCA to the customer for customer impacting issues.

of CEMS viz CPDS and CSVS. CPDS was used to carry the Data and CSVS

The ARRIS Project was on Access side Modem cable telephony Services.

The Access System involves the interfacing of Subscriber voice and

data to the Digital Switch via Dual Modem Cards (DMC). The Arris

Hardware system includes

1.Host Digital Terminal(HDT): Provides the digital links to the

subscriber

2. Dual Modem Card(DMC):Collect the voice signals from subscriber and

multiplexes and de-multiplexes into digital signals

3. Modem Shelf Controller(MSC): Database of all the subscriber data

4. Voice Ports(VP): Interfaces with customer telephone/television and

carries DS0 signal

5. Operation Controller (OPC): Provides the OAMP functionality.

Access Node is the Remote Line Concentration Module (RLCM) which

interfaces with the subscriber voice links to the digital switch. The

Access Node supports the SDH/SONET standards to provide the access

bandwidth to carry the voice traffic. Access Node supports at least

672 and Maximum 2048 subscribers. Transaction Language 1(TL1) is the

man-machine protocol defined by Telcordia Technologies (former Bell

Core) for the OAMP functionality. It is mainly used for provisioning

and Managing of Network Elements(NE).This protocol uses CMIP concepts

and Object Model concepts which is equivalent to Managed Object

concept of NMS

The solution environment consists of HP-UX and Switch Operating
